Just a quick hello, hopefully I'll find the answers to a happy life in the next few weeks as I'm counting down the hours to be a first time GT FATHER.
Not to hijack the post but I'd appreciate any input for how I should start my journey
I will fill in the survey as I know more

This is just my opinion based on my experience:
If you want to micro, it’s best to trip first, wait about a week, and then start your regimen. A trip sort of gets the chemistry in the right place, and the micro doses keep it that way.
Just my opinion. Others may have a different experience, and you might have a different experience.

Does anyone know a way of signing up to some sort of expression of interest for similar local studies? I live in south Australia and I have my eye on trials involved psilocybin but I haven’t seen any in such a long time. I’d really love an opportunity to participate in this particular study however I have not yet embarked on my microdosing journey and I’m guessing the participants you need are already having success with it? Microdosing is actually what brought me to shroomery, I wanted to look into it more and see if I can start doing it in the hopes of regaining my life back, which seems to the most common testimony amongst everyone that I’ve spoken to.

I took a microdose of lsd last wednesday. I was supposed to take a microdose of LSD today but I was depressed and procrastinated. I guess I probably should have taken it. I'll do it tomorrow, this time I mean it. I want to get out of this depression so I can take a FULL dose of 125ug. I'm overdue for a full trip.

I have to take propranolol to lower the side effects from depression & anxiety meds I need to take to function. Unfortunately it acts as a regulator that severely limits the effects of psychedelics and I fully believe that it made microdosing completely useless. I have to take nearly twice as high of a dose and still don’t get the same effects as others. This definitely needs to be taken into consideration. Same applies for anti-depressants. Hope I was able to help some

Currently at 10 days of micro-dosing. I’m going for a 30 day 2 days on 1 day off. Doing it during the summer is probably not worth it because the sun is shining and their is less stress. I chose July because I wanted to get a feel for how it would go. I have a protocol, journal, intentions and affirmations for the month. If anything it supports my healing journey and that’s all I really care about right now. From the Core, Flying K

Why don't you cultivate yourself? Then you could microdose whenever you want

Started microdosing this year. A little background: Grew some cubes, natalensis, pan cyans, and pan cambos 2-3 years ago. Just did it for fun mostly, I rarely trip anymore. I enjoy scientific hobbies a lot. Made a bottle of microdoses with some of the cubes and forgot about them. Never interested me at that time, but I like to have stuff on hand.
Felt depression this year, mostly due to not being able to find a higher paying job in my chosen field (and therefore remained stuck in a crime-ridden neighborhood that I hate, but can’t do anything about).
I was stressing HARD beginning of this year, and it’d been building all throughout the pandemic. Mental stress started to express itself physically via muscle tension, acne, and sometimes when I’d be thinking stressful thoughts, I would involuntarily begin to say my thoughts out loud. I would always catch myself before I uttered a single word, but a noise would sometimes escape my mouth for a fraction of a second.
I got on Valium (diazepam) but I told my doctor I do not want to become benzo dependent, so it’s only 5mg and I take it nightly as a sleep aid. The last thing I want is to become physically dependent on more drugs. I’m already physically addicted to cannabis (edibles, nightly. Can’t sleep without) and opiates (suboxone).
Valium didn’t really do anything except help curb the extra body tension I would get from my high edible cannabis dose(100-120mg). The cannabis before bed makes my mind run more wild until I pass out. But if I don’t take it, I can barely stay asleep for 3 hours. At least with the cannabis I can get 6-7 hours once I finally fall asleep.
A few months ago I found my microdose bottle and threw it next to my daily vitamins (multivitamin + vit D + vit C) to start taking in the morning before work. These capsules were 170-180mg Cubensis. 100% imperceptible. I noticed the anxiety/stress severely diminished the first week and have maintained ever since I started microdosing. I take them Monday-Friday at 7:30AM
I ran out of my microdose capsules last week, so I made some new capsules. The first bag of old (almost 3 years old) mushrooms I found was the Natalensis. Never tried them, but reports say they’re equivalent to cubes in potency. Dusted them and capped them. The only capsules I could find were size 0. Takes too long to weigh each dose individually so I just filled the caps full. I weighed the first few and they were 300-350mg. I should have tried one before capping the rest, but thought maybe the increased dose could increase the positive effects I was having while still being imperceptible. Plus, they are old mushrooms (Stored vacuum sealed with desiccant pack in dark closet) so figured they may have lost some of their potency.
Day 1 (yesterday) of the 300-350mg Natalensis was way too much. Totally forgot I took it, as usual. 4.5 hours after taking the capsule (12pm) I suddenly got the familiar butterflies and body load of a real mushroom come-up. A wave came over me in an instant. The Same feeling I have 45-60min after eating 2-5g of Cubensis. I’m not sure if it’s because I ate the “microdose” on a full stomach (as I always do) or something else, but I was stunned. I got nervous, because in all my past experiences, whenever I’ve had this feeling, I’m tripping hard 20-30min later.
Luckily it never got to the point of visual distortions or dilated pupils, but for a half hour as the effects became more pronounced I became more concerned. I was so stunned because the effect came on so late after taking it. The butterflies went away after an hour and by the time I left work I was almost back to baseline.
Last night I uncapsuled all my capsules and dug deeper into my duffel bag, looked harder and found my size 2 capsules. Recapsuled all the Natalensis powder in the size 2 capsules. Now they were 170-180mg like my previous Cubensis microdoses. Took one of the new capsules today and didn’t feel a thing.
So, just wanted to say microdosing has had a very positive effect in my life, and to be careful when using a new batch of mushrooms or increasing your “micro” dose. It would have been no big deal if I hadn’t been at work, but I was scared for awhile that I might not be able to stay composed.
For those who haven’t tried microdosing I would definitely recommend if you’re feeling depressed/anxious. It really helped a lot. 5 years ago when my gf stopped taking her anti-depressant she went through hell until I started giving her microdoses, and they helped her a lot weening off her SSRI.

I tried it out for a couple of weeks last year and personally didn't really notice anything at all. No noticeable anti-depressant effect for me (which i usually feel after a regular trip)

Hi I had a friend who did microdosing and he said it’s was really helpful in keeping him feeling normal and not so anxious and he could hold conversation easier and just helped control his mind from wondering in fort. The benefit for meditation if you are into it is amazing.
