hitterg, you're on the right track. corrugated cardboard wont give you much trouble but azures sure as hell wont fruit off of them. Or you could make spawn jars out of a sawdust/bran mixture. Either way you go, you need to eventually spawn wood chips.

sorry, I didn't mean to imply that they would fruit off of corrugated, what I meant was get the corrugated colonized and add the wood chips on top after colonization of the corrugated, this will get the colonization of the wood chips started and will begin the fruiting process shortly after. I should have structured my reply better.
Thanks kast for pointing that out. As you noticed I am also not the best speller. :)
p.s. I am very glad to see the shroomery has gotten it's informative side back to it. I have yet to see a negative comment on any of the recent replys. This is great, will it keep up??
