Not quite but we have a world class trout fishery right next to the Milwaukee Harbor on Lake Michigan. This was last December:

After a 25 years freshwater flyfishing hiatus (was saltwater FF), i'm back in the mountains with my 3wt chasing wild rainbows and brookies. Man, how i missed these little clear streams in the deep ravines. Been hiking quite to bit to reach some of these areas, but i won't see another soul the entire day. Seen quite a few black bears and i better pay more attention as they are having their cubs. I've tried a 12ft tenkara rod, which proved to be too long for these streams (too many trees covering the streams). A 9ft with a 7ft line and 3ft leader/tippet should do nicely. The tenkara is a hoot to use after you've played with it for a few hours. You can get these rods inexpensively ($40-70). I was thinking of using that rod on the way back (downstream) to swing a couple of wet flies and see what happens...

A few friends and I have made some trips up to the driftless area of Wisconsin this spring/summer. Lots of beautiful streams and fish!

Been a while since I've gone out but got my 1st fish of the season!

Went to a town an hour or so away and fished a section of the Arkansas River
that runs right through historic downtown. Feisty little feller.

Fly was a hand tied size 16 parachute adams

Nice feesh!

Loving tricking trout with dry flies.

Can't wait to get out on the water. Our trout season doesn't open until 4th Sat in April.

Someday I'd love to learn to fly-fish from Jetties and piers in the ocean.  If anyone's in Oregon and ever wants to go fishing I'm always available to make plans.

If u want to fish from piers and jetty you have to master the double haul. This brings to mind that spey casting from these places could be successful. I've fished breachway for striper and u can at times out fish everyone with the fly but it can be very difficult because of the current and wind. U really want to use a fly line that will punch thru the wind and get you down in the current. I've never actually fished from the jetty tho I've always been in a boat in or anchored off the channel

Another point is about at least definitely jetties maybe piers too is that these type of structures always and I mean always will hold a resident big fish or two. Something like that with all the bait structure and ever shifting conveyor belt buffet of water spilling in and out of the ocean/inlet or what have you there's always big fish prowling around that really don't move. The trouble is they've seen it all and don't bite anything except for a perfectly presented fly or like live eel or something idfk. Thats why although challenging it can be productive to fly fish these zones
