Cherry seeds instead of wbs

i was just wondering if i could use cherry seeds instead of wbs. it seems that it would work because if it can grow of of popcorn or wbs why wouldnt it grow off of cherry seeds (and im letting the seeds soak to let endospores germinate)

The main problem, as I see it, is that cherry seeds have a -much- harder coating. Myc is gonna have problems handling it.
Also, many fruit tree seeds contain various poisons, from cyanide to ... some other *ide I'm forgetting. I am unsure whether cherry seeds contain these, but I think that it would be unwise to use them unless you know that the seeds are safe for human consumption in large amounts.
People -have- died from eating large amounts of apple seeds, for instance.

I'm not sure about cherries, but I know that the classic source of cyanide was from bitter almonds. (The kind of almonds we eat are a strange genetic mutant that only differs from these in that it does not have the genes to produce cyanide -- these wouldn't exist if it weren't for people cultivating them.) I know peach pits also contain cyanide. I'm not too sure about other things, but a -lot- of fruit trees have inedible seeds.
