I meant as in folding the print itself in half, it is just a PITA to deal with. Maybe I'm alone on this soapbox.
I tend to cut prints into squares and fold a slightly larger piece over them or if they are small, make a foil pouch to place them in.

I cut out prints and fold into a separate piece of foil folded in half and folded over at the edges. The print I orient so the it is facing up when one unfolds and opens the packet. It is convenient to mak a lot of prints in a low tub like that. Roll out a sheet and space caps about an inch apart then once they've printed you can cut them all apart with a scalpel. I can fit about 100 cut prints into a petri dish for storage before folding up packets.
Not alone on your soap box.

The OG print TEK is the one that uses pre-cut foil, sterilized in an oven and utilizes a cooling rack so you can move all your caps at once. I use it and absolutely love it. I tried BODs print tek and found it to be clumsy

I think I got too excited thinking this T1 was clean enough for grains. Something wonky about, but like ya said, itโs also oats. Gonna spawn em for science
I saw a couple spots of mold in those but nothing I'd lose sleep over if they were just going to bulk.

Maybe this is a preference thing? I fold up one rectangular peice of foil, with the bottom half containing the print. I like having the extra foil to hold onto while scraping or swabbing. I dont like having my hands so close to the spores when working from a small square inside a larger bit of foil.

Ended up chucking the jars after spotting a few more metabolites on the surface. Didnโt wanna waste the tub space with a dice roll.

Uhm.... that's really bad practice, dude.
Do you wipe your tools with ISO too?

Question regarding infrared thermometer guns.
I have a cheap one I use all the time. It reads 2 degrees F too high, unless I trigger it a bunch, say, 20 times within a minute, then the reading drop down to an accurate place.
Is this common?

Yes, on the tools too, though they get torched. I must be very lucky? I keep my heavy weight foil roll on a shelf, in the kitchen where there is often fine oil/fat particulates in the air. I pull off a piece, cut it down to fit in the plastic container (from the drawer). In front of my "hood" with HEPA filter, I spray the inside/out with ISO, wipe down an let dry, same w/foil. W/shoebox in flow I use flamed scissors to decapitate and move caps to foil for printing. I leave a mm or so of the stipe so the cap is not flush against the foil. I wet a paper towel with bottled water and place it damp over the caps. 48hrs later, in front of "hood", remove lid, paper towel, caps and let prints dry in the HEPA flow while I finish everything else, usually 30-60 min. Then cut and wipe w/ISO whatever foil shape I need for storage and let dry in the flow. Put them together and label. I can send you some prints to test if you'd like? I always recommend agar but the method seems to work for me.
This is a good opportunity to say I DO NOT recommend anyone do what I do. That is, unless it is something I've learned from someone who knows what they are doing. (Thanks Faht!) I sterilize my subs and casing, don't fan, don't mist and probably lots of other things too. I've found what works for me in my environment with my time schedule.
I am here to learn though and I do appreciate all of the experiences and opinions, you guys have! If not I'd still be growing GT using PFtek. What would be a better way?

Ha ha ha Mushboy, I forgot about printing on card stock but w/no tape! I still have one of my GT prints on card with blue tape around the edges, an antique!
.....back in my day, we didn't have no fancy SABs and we liked it! It reminds me of the time.....
I'll have to find the old Shroomery page I printed when I learned to use popcorn.

Sometimes I tear off a sacrificial sheet of foil if the roll loosened up at all when I stashed it last time. Sometimes I swipe the foil box with ethanol if it's sat a while. I live in a fungi rich environment so it helps to be careful.
I have to scrub the trichoderma off the siding on my house every other year or so or it gets that abandoned look to it. The joys of a temperate north facing incline.
I have 18 year old wild prints on 3x5 cards that still germinate. Something to be said for fresh air and access to ambient humidity. Life dies when it dries out all the way and can't breathe.
