Holy shit what a line-up of bands. Of course now a day concert would be 118 degrees there but back then, I was way to young to go, but just for history and its sake and what music stands the test of time. That was impressive.
When Eddie and Diamond Dave can take down the stick up their ass Texas culture coming from L.A., that is remarkable. "They acted like they owned the place and they did." Talent has a lot to do with it well. And a lot of fun to just to watch. 1978 much different times. Yet still music is endlessly creative and remaking itself. Anything creative and one learns through time what has value to it and is worth ones time, high quality which goes for anything in life basically, and what is garbage.
Is amusing when a horrid song comes on and it just like torture to get through and just thinking, it is only 3 minutes that can seem like an hour. Then good music is played and hours are like minutes.
Time is relative.

That was amusing. Maynard and his Jerry Falwell evangical outfit and even he cracked up during the song. A Roman guy from Caesar times, and two people just lounging at a table onstage.
Like Rodger Waters when on tour and one has achieved everything one wants in life, fuck you I am rich as Hunter S. used to say, one creates and has fun. Is amusing seeing him selling wine on his property. Sure it is great just like Manson and his abisthene quality, for the high end folks. Not really. Reasonably priced for the quality of it. Enjoy your Summer concerts people.
Kay things not be burning around you and 110 degrees during it. Red Hot Chili Peppers are in SLC tomorrow. On with it. NO WHINING. YOU PAID 200 plus fees and taxes for 300 just to see the band without binoculars.
But yeah, tomorrow should be fun. As will Waters in September but that is indoors but the sound quality at Vivent seeing the Smashing Pumpkins there is shit. God Morrisey keeps coming back here. He hates the Cure. That level of arrogance and why is he coming back to SLC so much? Because he is celebae? Don't know. Just his fans are assholes for the most part unless one is deeply full of self importance.
On to the Peppers. Haven't seen them since 1999 in New York and the Woodstock hell. If the future collapsed, that is it. Should be fun though, looking forward to it. Is strange that year and a half lockdown and 3 vacations in 4 months. Time no one can get back. I learned early that there was so many worse experiences than mine during that time and vacation plans. Still feels like I was ripped off out of that time by bullshit. Nothing makes up for it. God we only live till 80 if we are lucky. NO WHINING, time for some fun.
And yes he is sober and clean living and will let you know about it, Anthony, Bass man Flea, no. I side with Flea. Enjoy your weekend people. Why do people always have to point out without even one asking I AM SOBER AND DON'T TAKE DRUGS to people. I MYSELF DO AND IT IS STILL A LOT OF FUN TO ME. Freedom and independent thought. I don't yell I am on drugs and alcohol! And I love it! Which I do. On with the show.
RIP MOON. Hope I die before I get young. Well he did, and it sucks. They are touring this year and will skip it.
Since it is the Red Peppers night what is one's favorite song of theirs? I have two. Suck my Kiss from Blood Sugar Sex Magic and one from Stadium Arcadium, the one that sold more than any other and for good reason. Was great and perfect for the time just like that other album in High School driving home to it with the C.D.
Always get a bit nervous before a concert. Not sure why. Just the crowds are so different wherever one goes. The vibe of it all. Rage against the Machine was the most beat up I have ever been an even at that age at a bull fighting place with rednecks in the outskirts of Utah called Spanish Fork when crowd surfing and people would just punch people doing so that took awhile to heal up. But not my fear an I loved the concert.
Really feel kind of peaceful thinking about it. Take enough drugs that are beneficial and one learns to tap into the future a bit. The grid from DMT and those lines one travels through that I experienced. Feel it will be chill. On to tomorrow.
