AoC shouldn’t have been arrested

Why did the cops do that?

Because protest is a joke in this country. If you’re not in a designated zone, you get arrested. That’s why rioting is the only true form of demonstrator protest.

And AOC is a grandstanding publicity hungry person who is going to disappoint you to no end in the long years to come. If America lasts as long, AOC will age into the role and become as vile and insidious a figure as Pelosi.

This doesn’t seem accurate.  Why would she put herself in harms way by getting arrested?  I think what’s more likely is that she believes in what she’s protesting and is willing to sacrifice herself for the bigger picture.

How did she put herself in harm’s way? By having her people alert the press that she’ll be at such and such a place at this specific time, and be sure to bring the cameras? She didn’t sacrifice anything, she made herself available for a photo op. That protest was swarming with police and AOC’s private security detail.

I have no doubt she believes in this particular cause. She only talks a big game on other issues that don’t pertain immediately to her situation (poverty, defense spending, etc.). The radicalism she was espousing a few years ago when she first got into politics has already started to taper off.

There was very little fight or leadership on her part when the Build Back Better Act (social spending and civil rights) and the Infrastructure bill (corporate welfare) were decoupled from one another in order to pass the Infrastructure bill and kill Build Back.

American politics is a dumpster fire

So you’re telling me she called the police and press and they coordinated a picture?  That’s a lot of moving parts that had to be perfect in order to capture the moment.  Not easy at all.

Also, you act as if she isn’t fighting hard to make change in the world.  I think people need to relax and trust President Biden and reps like aoc.  Things take time.

Seems pretty easy. The cops are already at any high profile protest like that. Just have your team alert the media which I'm sure is exactly what she did.

But then you said the phrase "trust president Biden" so we can tell how well you eat your little airplane spoonfuls of media propaganda they feed you. Good job

Bidens nothing but a puppet, if you think any of his actions are actually decided by him you are horribly mistaken.  He's easily controlled by the real powers that be since he's barely conscious most of the time anyway.

There’s automatically a police presence at just about every planned protest of any size.

Ok, I’ve had enough of this. I’m out.

Fuck AOC btw.

Fucking live your own lives.

Either you're an activist (see word action)… or you're getting worked up for nothing.

Bread and games, Riot or don't .

This isn't an invitation to violence...
