I've microdosed nats fresh, didn't notice much difference in taste, them and cubes never bother me as far as that.  Technically what I do is more of a mini dose than micro I guess, usually 5-7g fresh.

Just put 5g dried nats down the hatch with some lemon juice, and it's a beautiful day outside so we'll see how that goes!

With Nats is that called a Wake and Snake? Sounds like fun man, enjoy! Feels like mush culture is lacking in silly lingo unless I’m just not fully awake yet to remember.

Doesn’t really sound like it would be worth the electricity used to run it. Ambient window light has always been plenty for me but I’m able to use a full room and don’t know how your situation is. I see most cultivators recommending 6500k for lights though.

Wake and snake.. I like it. This has gotta become a thing.

Oof. Little glitch there made my post bold. Not sure if yours was intentionally bold.

I was kinda skeptical when ppl said nats are faster than cubes but this is less than 24 hours after a shake. I might get unlucky with slow cube cultures but ive never seen myc recover and spread this fast.

Wake and snake
Love it.

Full disclosure: I had taken a benzo the previous day so it almost certainly affected my trip.

But after 45min I wasn't feeling it as strongly as I wanted to, and this was the only chance I was gonna have to trip for probably months, so I downed another 3g for a grand total of 8g dried nats.

I can't remember exactly when, but shit got fuckin' real.  Paranoia about I don't even know exactly what, started to get strong. Let's just say that at points, when I felt my sanity was in question, I had to fall back on my faith in Source and keep reminding myself that this was just an experience and that everything would return to normal eventually.  All would be good, and it was.

Aside from the dark night of the soul, which was a small part of it really, the rest of the trip I felt incredible amounts of love for god/Source, the universe and every living being in it, and all of that other hippy dippy bullshit

At times I visually experienced how I was interconnected with everything and could affect shifting of timelines based on my emotions/thought. Quite incredible, although I had to avoid the pitfall of egoic entrapment when I felt myself as the son of god being reborn/awakened in his true from with all sorts of powers I seriously thought I had.  But then again, who's to say I didn't eh?

Towards the end and with a healthy dose of kratom I got the full on rolling/MDMA experience, eyes darting uncontrollably and all. I can't say how much of that was just the mushrooms but kratom sure as shit doesn't do that alone. Either way it's a real enjoyable combo on the tail end of the trip. I've never felt such a lack of energy but in a good, amazingly relaxed way, utter bliss really, I think is an apt word to describe the feeling.

Overall highly recommended, but don't take my dosages as advice because remember, the previous day benzo dose almost certainly dampened things.

I've just harvested what my NAT2 culture produced. It isn't much but for the surface area I think it's fairly decent. I'll be testing them shortly, hopefully with someone else too.

Guerrilla, yeah my bold text wasn’t intentional either. Maybe they were tinkering with some stuff behind the scenes.

Damn that sounds like a wild ride, Forrester. Can’t imagine an 8g nat trip got damn  I still have never tried kratom. Would love to find fresh seeds or a cutting but I might need to just scoop some up to taste test. Heard good things about it. Thanks for sharing the voyage.

Finally decided to start some Nats. Just streaked some germ plates. Can't wait to see for my self if these are as aggressive as it sounds like.

@DoctorBenway were you serious with that trich comment a couple posts back? You sounded serious 😳  but sometimes sarcasm is hard to read via text.. if it wasn't sarcasm, it would definitely be interesting to see.

Nats can for sure envelope and possibly beat trich colonies. I have seen them do it on germ plates many times. They do seem more resistant to contams than cubes. They appear to respond with super aggressive growth and overlay to any contams.  I still of course recommend getting a clean culture before moving to grains though.

100% serious, i recently finished reading this entire thread and especially with the blobby cloud type natalensis they are known to steamroll right over trich lol. Afaik the community is perplexed as to the function of this heavy overlay material which is indeed active but i personally feel its similar to sclerotia in that its a defense mechanism of sorts but different in that instead of creating seeds that can endure catastrophy that destroys the mycelial network and recolonize its more like a cocoon of sorts that seems to create a microclimate that pins will sprout from, very aggressive and will coat a substrate making it uninhabitable by competitors like foreign molds and bacteria.

Very freaking cool  I've been holding on to a swab and a print for a month or so.. finally getting started, but I probably should have jumped on these right away, especially with the warm weather giving me issues.

The experience is also very unique. Really hard to beat, and can make cubes seem harsh and synthetic in way, when compared.

Yay something to contribute! First Nat pins.

I wonder, what is this 'overlay' you guys keep talking about. Mine don't do that at all.. Also a lot of metabolites. My weirdest looking tub for sure.

Hopefully something clone worthy is in there cuz this pinset is way too sparse. Don't feel too much like doing a whole bunch of these ms grows.

Currently running some side by side tubs of Nats using hpoo vs coir just for the sake of the community experience.

1.5 qts spawn to 4 qts hpoo verm / coir verm.
1.5 - 2 " top layer of cv at spawn.

Coir verm

Hpoo verm
