Just came out on Netflix, based on the popular book by Michael Pollen. Should be an excellent watch. Psychedelics to the Mainstream! LFG!

Watched it while on shrooms for the first time. It was amazing. Words can't even explain it. I owe it all to this community for helping me learn about this.

I’m looking forward to checking it out. Having read the book, I’d love to blow my mind…
One question, though: does anyone else sense that Pollan is more of an opportunist than an advocate? Like I said, I’ve read the book and watched him on countless interviews and podcasts. I have to question if HIS mind is truly changed.
Of course no one but him truly knows, but I can’t help get the feeling that he sniffed out the next big thing and ran with it all the way to the bank. Damn my inner cynic.

The last episode on Mescaline/Peyote was really well done!

I felt the same thing about the guy but when I watched a Tim Ferris interview I developed a slightly different attitude. He's actually doing quite a bit to help bring psychedelics mainstream. Yes, he has made a fortune doing so but his book is opening people's minds. I gave the book to a LCSW I knew who read it and passed it on to others on staff and every single one of them developed a completely different attitude about psychedelics I was told. Pollan was smart. He knew all about the clinical work being done and capitalized on it. If it wasn't him, it would have been someone else instead. You seemed to have enjoyed the book. I did too...

You have a point. His work does seem to be the seed of some progress. I’ve watched some of the documentary and it’s well done and interesting. He still rubs me the wrong way, but hey, it’s the message, not the messenger, even if the messenger at times steps in front of the message and makes me cringe. My mind was changed long before his book, but here’s to him if he’s changing the minds of others.
