Hello,
i've been trying to get this Mc Kennaii to do its thing, but it doesn't since 2-3 weeks. How can I still help this one?

Hi,
Is that a mycelium growbox from the NL? Kinda looks like it. Also looks super dry. Not really sure from the pic though.
2+ weeks sounds like a really long time. Only thing I could think of is dunk it in water for a few hours and put back in the bag that came with it. And ime these boxes are very unreliable. Sometimes they work sometimes they don't. Probably has to do with how long they were stored for and being in and out of cooling during transport and there are some crappy vendors out there too.
If you want to learn how to grow cubes from scratch you have come to the right place though
Edit: well the 'mushroom cultivation' forum in general more so than this specific thread

Thank you so much. Yes, it's a standard grow box from NL and it may be too dry. I will water it again very carefully. It's my first try and I'm also feeling a bit desperate because I need it to happen for my depression
So do I just reply with questions in this subthread?
Edit: I'm already trying to dry the first head
I sent you a pm!

No, you're currently posting in Psilocybe Natalensis - this is a species specific thread.
You're growing Psilocybe Cubensis var Mckennaii.
The Cultivation General Discussion, linked below would be more fitting.
https://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/23528067
Or, you can post a new thread in Mushroom Cultivation here:
https://www.shroomery.org/forums/postlist.php/Board/2
By posting a new thread, all your questions and answers on the subject will be in one place, and you can post updates and get help with each one.

Nice! welcome to the party brother
I believe this shoobox was from the same culture as my green snakes but I had this in my grow tent with the lid off and inside another tote with water in it. seems like they grow better from warmer temps and more fae like some were saying earlier on in this thread

also, who needs agar when you can grow on nat caps?

They’re weirdly soft. Like cotton candy or those little red foam balls used for magic tricks

6th flush nat tub, still producing some nice fruit.

I've been fruiting this tub for over 2 months now. 5:1 ratio of sub to spawn, single mycoquart taken to above field capacity prior to first flush and bottom water and misted heavily in between flushes. Poly holes loosened when fruit start to form for added fae but the larger fruit definitely come from later flushes.
At this stage I've harvested over 1.4kg wet weight from a single mycoquart.
5th flush fruit
4th flush fruit
3rd flush fruit
2nd flush fruit
1st flush fruit

I'll dump it after this, it's crumbling and is just taking up space. Next up I'm running Nats on hpoo for all of you to see.
