What do you guys spend total on a monotub grow? With all the equipment needed and like substrate and everything, total cost?
Side question: how much do you yield per monotub grow? I really want to understand the profit possible with each monotub, thanks guys!

What kind of mushroom are you trying to grow?
Most of us in the gourmet side don't use mono tubs.
Using a fruiting chamber a 5lb bag of substrate can produce ~1-1.5lbs mushrooms.
Cost including electricity and materials is like $1-2 per 5lb fruiting block if I remember my cost analysis correctly.

Pressure cooker is the biggest expense. If you don’t have one, the total is probably going to be around $150 to $200+ dollars. Maybe 3 to 4 oz of product, maybe a little less

800-1100g of dry Coco coir brick 4 x 1L mason jars 1.25kg dry rye grain (other grain can be used, dry amount may differ to provide 4qt jars of hydrated grain) 3 quarts of vermiculite 1 x 66qt storage tub
Optional drill for EZ dial hole set up. Optional liner / black bag
= 1 monotub
---------------------
Getting clean inoculant:
Spore print / syringe / swab Scalpel and blade Inoculation loop (can DIY it) Agar agar powder - 10g needed for 20 Petri dishes Light malt extract - 10g needed for 20 Petris 1g nutritional yeast (optional) Agar pouring vessel (a re-used glass bottle will work or purchase a 500ml media bottle) Foil Sleeve of 20 petri dishes Parafilm or cling wrap Kitchen jet torch ISO alcohol 70% (and optional spray bottle) Paper towel
-------------------
Fine mist bottle for misting (optional, or maybe more necessary as a beginner. If your substrates field capacity isn't on point your tub will likely need misting)
15psi pressure cooker Still Air Box or Laminar Flow Hood Polyfil or SFD as a filter for grain jars (can use micropore as a basic filter) Elevated metal rack for working on in SAB / FH
Work out the cost from this.
