Any chance this pen can drop spores on foil? I have never swabbed :/
Thatβs a great block.
But even if PE did drop prints, those look near sporeless.

I will clone again this time and prep my swabs for the next round, this is a clone from this sb bottom cluster.

And this came from cloning this fruits that a friend gived me.

Lest see how another cloning round works out.

Paying the pic tax - some close ups off an old Natalensis plate while cleaning up:
And it turns out what I thought were pins on the Nat trays I've got fruiting were actually blobs, which I hadn't seen before. No wonder they weren't growing much. Here are the real pins finally (10 days in):

The blobs seem to want to crack open, no matter their size, so weird:

This is still part of my first grow, had 7 shoeboxes of z-strain that produced a bit over 5 oz dry and now I have 7 shoeboxes of JMF that are in the process of growing their first flush. I have definitely learned some stuff to apply to my future grows, as the z-strain I prepped a little on the dry side so the full pinsets couldn't be supported but still some nice fruits, whereas these JMF were much wetter on top and I believe is causing the worse colonization and the thinner fruits. Of course, that's just some noob assumption and I am learning through my grows haha, I am just excited to have some mushrooms. But they are looking funky and I kinda dig it.

Psilocybe stuntzii, mushrooms-for-ants pheno

Lookin good, eh. Tiny though, but there'll be many at least, and fruited indoors in 3 weeks, so, not a lot of build up for this result. I'm actually quite surprised just how fast they fruited. Just fridge, fruit. One could think size was a fae issue but a 6qt dub tub had 7.5L/m of humid fae, so I don't think that is the issue, probably substrate.
Comparison, from a post on mycotopia.
https://mycotopia.net/topic/68357-psilocybe-stuntzii-indoor-cultivation-a-leucistic-fruit-perhaps/
I have more smaller cakes, going to test substrates and other amounts of fae. At least they fruit fast so it should be less painful to experiment. I better get some spores lol.
