Went hunting today with some friends up in the Dandenongs and we found a nice dense area of bush with lots of leaves, broken up logs and ferns etc.
We came across quite a few species of mushroom, a few which looked quite poisonous (real white ones coming out of logs, and tall big white ones with a black spot in the middle).
The 2 (or 3?) species we found (which i've taken pics of here) were amazing looking mushrooms.. there is a reallly violet purple species which have purple gills and purple everywhere.. then theres the real blue/metallic blue ones which most of had a goldy brown/sometimes bright yellow spot in the middle.
I did not notice any real significant colour change in the stems/gills although some look like they have gone darker maybe(?)
Can someone please identify these? I dunno if they'd be actives? They just looked awesome
Hey bozbo, take your cam' a hunting with you next time, I would've liked to see a natural shot of those guys growing... COOL LOOKING SHROOMS, despite non-active... (and then post your natural, well focussed non-active Melbourne find pics in Dr Octo's thread...)
