Hey everyone! I went for my first hunt today and found quite a few of what I am fairly certain are subs. Just looking for confirmation.
Habitat: Very damp, grassy Australian bushland with lots of bark and leaf litter.
Spore print colour: very deep slightly purply brown(will upload photos when final prints are done).
Bruising: Gills and stem bruise blue.

Just wondering roughly how many of these I should eat to get to like a 3?

If you don't already own precision scales, then I recommend you dry these until you do. They are relatively inexpensive and will last you for years. You need ones that are at least accurate to 0.01g. Regular kitchen scales will not do as they are generally only accurate to 0.1g. I do not recommend eyeballing your doses because mushrooms can vary greatly in size, and this is especially true of Psilocybe subaeruginosa. Once you have your scales, then refer to this dosage calculator.

I guess it's possible to weigh up a fresh ten grams on a regular per-gram kitchen scales, and then dry them. 90% water loss will give around a gram dry. But that requires weighing as soon as possible after picking.
