 Heard three shots outside my apartment

I heard three loud bangs just outside my balcony.
Then I heard car wheels squealing.
I waited a little and went outside with my flashlight and found the three shells:
I am probably going to call the non-emergency police number tomorrow to report it.
Scary stuff.
The shells were found within 50 yards of my apartment.
Seems like the shells are for an AK-47.
Thoughts? What would you do in my situation?

7.62x39 is gunna be an AK, SKS, or heavier caliber AR like a Repr. As long as nobody was hit and there are no bullet holes in buildings or cars its not really that big a deal. People shoot off guns in my area all the time. Especially close to 4th of july. Could have been they just bought it in the parking lot and needed to make sure it worked before the deal was done.
Its definitely irresponsible as fuck but if no cops showed up or ambulances theres not much you can do.

As I recall, the Hidden Valley Kings were notorious for a murder using an AK back in the early 2000s.

If someone did get shot, it would have probably been better if you left the shells instead of tampering with evidence.. now your prints are on them, and god only knows if you disturbed any prints that might have already been on them  just my
