Ever read the fifty year sword? Have that sucker on the shelf but it looks like a nightmare, nothing like house of leaves.

I've never read Fifty Year Sword. What do you think of it?
I loved reading House of Leaves though! House of Leaves is definitely in my top 3 favorite books of all time!
I'm currently reading Islands of Abandonment: Nature Rebounding in the Post-Human Landscape. It's a book that takes you to locations that have been devastated in the wake of human industry.

It's a great book bro.
Structurely, the book offers something that I've never found in anything else. Definitely worth picking up.
Conceptually, it brings up topics that are still prevalent today. For example, how reliable/trustworthy is a news source that can be entirely fabricated through video editing, etc.
Great stuff!

That’s the thing with 50 yr sword. It’s so obscure and off the wall that it could not be categorized as prose. Probably makes for some great experimental poetry tho

I'm currently rereading Dune by Frank Herbert. I'll follow with the next two, Messiah and children..... It's my 3rd time reading them. I never finished the fourth book though.

Currently reading "White Fang" to my daughter, as my father read it to me when I was her age. It's a great book!
