Thread needs more love.
Mine are holding up OK. One had a bent peg from use (that holds the knives together at the end).
I folded the metal back over and smashed it a couple times and the peg is still hanging in there.

I've tried it and found the sub surface needs to be properly level and it seems my 0.3mil liners are too thin to pick up out of my monos. Tried to float em but thats a ton of water to maneuver. Ended up with a fankensub.
Moving forward I will use thicker plastic, pack the corners well, and hopefully I can saw more subs than not.

Yeah for sure. I've had years of practice making flat level monos, so that helps for sure. I use lawn and leaf bags cause they are extra thick.

Normally I've been pretty level with my sub, but I got lazy recently with the introduction of liners. I'll be off to the store for some plastic in the morning.

eatyualive said: Well holy shit, the electric knife harvester is magical. Generally this variety is so dense it takes me 45 mins to an hour per tub to harvest. It took me 15-20 with electric knife. Still let about 1/4 of the pins mature. Will harvest am. This variety was the ultimate test for the electric knife and it came through with gold!

off topic but is that the LEM stainless dehydrator? I had major issues with mine almost oven baking the mush. They would come out completely black and turn to dust. Once I tin snipped the vent holes bigger, issue gone. Curious if you had the same problem.
Back on topic, I'll have to dig out my electric knife and try this. I'm going to switch to harvesting everything at once vs staggering it to a couple tubs a day like I do now.

that is blowing my mind! 45 min to an hour? I bought 2 electric knives and have been going back and fourth with them for a bit. I havent had much use for them. it takes a certain type of fruit for them to work well which I havent been growing much of lately. now im not nocking the knife cause its fun as fuck to use and great on certain strains/ types of fruits, but goddamn! I could harvest a tub like those ones in 5-10 min with scissors. that time seems a bit absurd. well, I bought a new hedge trimmer so I may have to cut a tub with it just for fun soon, or once I grow a strain with lanky enough fruits.
I have a similar dehydrator to that one shown. It doesnt see use ever anymore due to a fan bushing that broke and it makes an awful racket. Anyone know where to get new ones for such a fan?

Hey Munch, I'm hooked on your vids. Any chance you can get this one restored when you have a free minute?
Thanks for all you do!
