ive deleted posts. sometimes i get high and sentimental and say shit that i wish i hadnt. i overshare and then i delete it. Its not that im a bitch. i know im brutal on a level most humans wont comprehend until their life is almost extinguished. Still im not infallible and certainly not immune to embarassment even with a layer of anonymity as is the case on the org.

The droplets could just be condensation. Excessive water below the grain line can mean bacteria. If it stays white and reaches 100% colonization then you'll be able to choose the next step.

Hard telling and depends if it actually warped. If it's not warped noticeably then i wouldn't worry about it. If you can see it's fucked up, then I'd call it junk so it doesn't fuck me up.

Could it be someone heard "filled to capacity" and thought they heard "field capacity?" "Filled capacity" makes a lot more sense.
And to think I'm writing this and not stoned. lol
I think it refers to how you'd find coir a day after a rain in the field, with adequate drainage. That's how I've always thought of it, at least!

I don't want to speak super definitively on this, I had the same issue some weeks ago and looked all this up, but it's just my understanding.
I cannot find any evidence of a modern pressure cooker exploding, unless it was purposefully made into a bomb. By exploding I mean the metal becoming shrapnel and it acting like a fragmentation grenade. When people say PCs explode, they give that latter impression, while meaning "The hot contents will escape rapidly and cover your kitchen in bullshit that can result in burns and whatnot".
The threat is a mess and if you or someone else is in the room, potential burns are a serious threat. That shouldn't be understated, I'm not saying these things are ok consequences. I'm saying we default to imagining the scariest thing. Personally, I've dealt with a lot of situations where people were way too cautious, because they build something up in their head into the worst thing ever. This feels a lot like that.
We all knew bombs were made from PCs, few know they were filled with explosive material and a blasting cap, aka a bomb in a pressure cooker is a highly effective bomb. We also might have heard from an old relative about a shitty ancient PC not failing properly because it lacked fail-safes.
Modern PCs have fail-safes, the most dangerous PCs right now are electric ones like the instapot, and that's largely due to humans being dumb and using it wrong, though some models have legitimate safety concerns. Here's a link to some lawyer folk talking a bit about it, though it's not great info.
https://www.beasleyallen.com/article/pressure-cooker-dangers/
This reminds me of when I brought my Adderall (I have a prescription) to Egypt. Apparently it's illegal there, gasp, I guess I can't bring it. How about millions of people fly with their prescriptions all the time, do not check those prescriptions legality, and never face legal consequences for it.
It would just be a huge waste of time (for the gov) to try and account for all of that. So rather than only searching for the answer, which the internet largely said was "Do not risk safety", I looked for reports of people being charged for crimes because they brought a prescription with them to a country where that drugs illegal. There was 1 report of some girl bringing something to Japan, but the way she did it was dumb or wrong in some way, but barring that one report the internet was barren. (Some countries are more risky though, check like I did before you do this)
Now, to be clear, only take enough for however many days you'll be there, don't bring excess, and expect that if a problem arises you'll lose those pills and continue on your way. That's what actually happens regardless of what's legally possible. Think about how many people fly and don't even think to check if their prescription is legal in a country. Think about how many people fly. Search for stories (because it would make the news) of people being legally punished for it. If they don't exist, assume the internet is wrong.
Same thing here. I can't even find an image of an exploded pressure cooker. I can only find things of people being burned from usually removing the lid too soon or some other bullshit. Remember how many people use these PCs, how many are so very dumb, and how often we would see evidence of this if it was happening. That's how I approach it. Is it the safest? Nah. Has it ever failed me? Not yet, lol.

Yeah I canโt visually see anything. Perhaps Iโll try running it and seeing if it bows out when at 15PSI again. If it doesnโt wellโฆmaybe Iโll hold off on getting rid of it.
@excess there was actually a post I saw on quora of a PC that sent the lid into the roof and the pot through their oven.

Hey guys, I need some help possibly!?
Part of the surface gets kinda gray'ish/brown'ish looking and I've had a few tubs get the same thing...
Here are some picture's...

I don't know if it's Coir, cause my grain spawn looks fully covered and really nice and I do my FC perfect as I can see it being...
The surface colonized on both my 66qt tubs in a week as advertised with the method from munchin guy. After that it develped beads really nicely, I think you can see them but then these spots slightly darken in color. I havne't opened the lid except to take these two picture's...
I am willing to get some new coir just to see and I am about 6lbs into the 10lb coir which is Organic Coco Coir by Coco Bliss...
Really need some insight for what I'm not seeing in my 1:2 Tek...
I'm also clean iso the tubs before and turn off all fans, close windows and let my FH run for a little while to clean things up, basically I don't know where to start except possible the coir...
Thanks,

A new Presto will have a very slightly concaved bottom (~1/16") - if you put something straight across the bottom of the pot, can you see light between the center of the pot/straight edge?
I have one that was slightly overheated to the point that the bottom is convex about 1/32" and it's been going strong for 3 years and doesn't really concern me to use, but you do need to center it really well on electric burners so that it doesn't wobble. I probably wouldn't trust it enough to use if it was any worse though.

If I had one that was slightly warped, I would probably just weigh the valve down and test it at 20psi for a few hours. If thatโs successful, I wouldnโt worry much about using it at 15psi.๐คท

Running my hard ruler across the bottom there appears to be light throughout the entire length of the bottom except when closest to the edge. At the edge there is no light.
Thanks errybody for the help!
