Golden teachers are known for their pointed caps. Not all golden teachers have the point, but if one tub is pointed and the other isn’t, the pointed one is almost definitely GT. Congrats on your harvest.

albird71 said: Hi there! I have two grows going, B+Cubenis and Golden Teacher. Everything is going great and I am harvesting right now. I did not label my grow bags after inoculation (my bad) so I don't know which strain is which. My question is, what are the main appearance differences of Golden Teacher and B+ Cubenis? One fruiting chamber, the mushrooms are longer and skinnier with a pointy top caps. The other container, my mushrooms are shorter, round smooth caps and VERY fat. I am harvesting right before the veils are opening if I can catch them in time. Both are golden brown in color with white veils, grey gills for those that have opened. Thanks!
They can look very similar, however I've noticed more mutations with b+... for example, if they grow with fuzzy little "puff ball hats" on top of the caps, it's b+..
Can you post a couple pictures? Probably can't tell the difference, but you may get lucky

1. I don't even get rid of the dust. Just load and soak. Yes that is all that is needed. 2. Psilocybe Fanaticus.

Smellyhobbit said: If they are sterile, which they should be, then they’ll last months in the fridge or at room temp. They’ll last longer in the fridge - they’ll dry out more slowly. But if they’ve been poured and sterilized correctly, you won’t see contams from them sitting around.
Thank-you, have thankfully poured and no contam signs 48 hours post sterilisation

I’ve been recommended to leave them at room temp for about a week just to make sure things don’t grow on them. Then put them in the fridge for longevity.

Oneleggedwarrior said: Quick question...
How long is agar (no pour method) ok to leave before inoculation and are they ok stored in cupboard?
If your dish has gas exchange via micropore tape, sfd, etc then it will dry out eventually depending the thickness, surface area size, type of gas exchange filter, etc
I use 1/4 pint widemouth jars with sfd grain lid setups and they last about 4-5 months Before they start to dry out. They're fine to store at room temp before inoculation for a couple months even if necessary.
Thanks appreciate, have used small kilner/Mason jars with unmodified lid and all appears to be well 48 hours post pour/sterilisation

Excellent! Thank you for that information much appreciated, not sure will get away with fridge with kids it's all stealthily done so far. Hoping to use a couple for cloning once the big guys are ready to be harvested. Reckon by weekend will be ready to go 🤞🏻👍🏼

No the PF stands for Psilocybe Fanaticus/Professor Fanaticus aka Robert McPherson who was the individual who developed the "PF" tek, in addition to the tek there is a cube variety with the same name.

Be specific:
A2g: 2-3 weeks G2g: 5-10 days LC: 5-10 days LI: 8-10 days
Depends on your source of inoculation and how much you use.

Not sure if this worked or not? But as you can see, the tall skinny one has the point on the cap. The short fat one is more round. Both are in the process of drying so I don't have a fresh picked photo.

I'm pretty sure that the one on the left is B+
Ive gotten pointy caps from both... but I've had way more B+ look like that
The ones in this picture are GT with pointy caps, but the B+ have more of a nipple like yours.. can't find any decent pics tho..

Just I could be wrong
Edit: here's some B+

idk,.. smellyhobbit's right.. just mix it all together
