Leucistics drop spores and can have slightly different pigmentation, albinos mostly require swabbing.

Ya just wanna point out that aa+ is actually not an albino it's a weird name, it's actually leucistic a+ but they use to just call anything white albino

Yep, correct. That's why they drop dark colored spores.

So I’ve got some pf cakes sitting in a water tub right now, when it occurred to me that they’re all at different stages of development. The tek I read says to keep the tub sealed until the substrate material is colonized. Then crack the lid. But if they’re all developing at different rates and put in at different times, how am I going to do that?
Is it ok to just crack the lid?

Sounds like you’ve already cracked the lid to add additional cakes buddy.

Fair enough. As long as there’s water in there I bet it’ll be ok.

I put 5 cakes in water tub sealed for 48hr and then allowed fae. The sixth cake got dunked and rolled a day after that because it was trailing behind just a tad. Said fuck it and put it next to the others that had been in there already. It stared pinning first. So I think the water tub with the passive FAE going is just so perfect it don't matter. Lol but newb anecdotal shit

I mean my shoeboxes aren’t ever sealed up and they perform well. There’s a lot of water in this tub, so my guess is it’s ok.

I've got a bunch of cakes in a water tub at different stages of development (cracking the lid frequently to harvest, add, and rotatae) I've been doing it for months without issue, I just usually do a light misting every time I open the lid

Yes you will be fine just crack the lid but if they are different varieties make sure you label them on the lid or somewhere and mind moving them trying to guess if it's a golden teacher or a John Allen can be a pain in the ass

That's a good idea.. I've just been keeping them grouped together and doing it all by memory.. I think I'm going to start labeling on the lid
