So this look very sus yesterday, only two spots were coloring. Now that they're all lining up with air holes I believe it's actually just bruising. Can I have your guys input on it please?

Looks badly contaminated to me. It's probably going to fully collapse before you get any fruits unfortunately.

Can take longer than usual. What are conditions like?

IME spore grows tend to take 1 to 2 weeks longer after a lengthy consolidation.

Random transfers can sometimes never pin.

Clones or established genetics can be all over the place but generally if it pins on agar it will fruit in 1 to 3 weeks.

You don't have any blobs or signs of growth? How are surface conditions?

Mold in the tub.

Dang it. That's unfortunate, it's claimed all my recent tubs. Time to go back to the agar drawing board.

It is Nat if that makes any difference.

I have surface colonization. It was lc that I put to agar, looked clean, so I used it. The other pic is a tub of the same lc, about a month apart, it's looking good I think. Probably just impatient.

Pics got switched, second pic is shoebox, first pic is tub.

Some nat cultures do seem to tolerate a little mold but this is not always the case.
Keep trying, you'll get there.

Do you think there's a chance it'll fruit at all and I should hold on or should it go straight to the compost?

Thanks for your time

Second pic is looking a little moldy. Maybe just the camera but is that green in the lower left?

I don't think it will fruit.
If it were my tub I'd toss it.

I don't see green, but it doesn't look proper to me. Somethings going on.

The area to the right looks off too.
If that spot is not green I would let it ride and see what happens.

Check the location I circled on your pic (or tub). It seems to have disappeared in mine.

It does look questionable in the pics, I tried to get a better pic of that spot with better light, it doesn't look as funky in person.

Time will tell.

Dark spots backlit I thought were contamination, but now it's been a while and they're still white, not spreading, not darkening, no color, so I'm wondering if it's just myc?

Are these pins okay? Some of them look absolutely retarded. Am I just being impatient or did I have too wet a substrate or something?

That's a toss, right?

Since no one answered, i rephrase my question.

Does it make sense to wait for mycelium showing up and try a transfer or is it futile since contam has a massive head start?

I eventually threw in the bin all the cultures that started this way. I mean, why would you go into the trouble of cleaning this up, if it can even be cleaned up, when  you can just start a new culture? This hobby requires much patience, no need to add frustration to the matter.
If/when mycelium shows up, it will be way too enmeshed in bacteria in my opinion.

That's what I thought about my first plates too, but when I got clean cultures, they replaced the first ones in my heart 😁
