Thanks Hindsight, I appreciate the advice. I just went ahead and bought new plywood and I'm going to build wood first. Much more forgiving and probably easier to seal.
I've pondered if lining the work area or possibly just the floor with copper foil? It does have antimicrobial properties and considering some use clean, misted towels to help collect contamination it would appear to me copper foil may help inhibit other microbes from cycling around the hood work area? Any thoughts on that? Or is it just overboard? I have the foil it's nearly pure copper in 12"x25' rolls.

Wood can trap and harbor mold and bacteria. That is why I primed the inside and sealed the outside. Ideally you'd have a truly non-porous work-surface for your flat table area right in front of the hood. Most use stainless steel. I have a sheet of stainless I plan to cut to shape and screw down onto my wood table but haven't gotten around to it yet and I actually have not had any contamination issues with just using the polyurethane sealed wood table surface. I know copper is anti-microbial as you mention and I would think it would be just as good as, if not better than stainless for that reason so yeah I would go for it if you already have it.

Nah go with stainless, copper oxidizes pretty quick. Not sure how anti-microbial the oxide is

Imo you should get some peat based casing and throw it on there.
You just need to adjust for airflow. Peat based casings like a slightly lower humidity.
I'm a fan of the p9 method of putting about 2 inches of coir on top after compression at spawning. It is a little late for that now though.
You could grab the ingredients from the garden store(peat moss, pickling lime and verm) Faht's Method here or you could grab some jiffy mix from Walmart and use it as is.
Edit: added a link

I'm new with working with A2G but I've noticed my pints faster 🍄

There's probably some expensive lab one but it's really just a cookie cooling rack, same thing.

Cookie racks suck
Get a stainless steel roasting rack or build an elevated surface to work on

My tubs have gnats
I just ordered MOSQUITO BITS but it won't be here for a few days. My tubs just started pinning, I go in there and kill ~10 gnats a day that I can find. Are the stupid larva from these things going to ruin my yield or will the flush be OK because the infestation is still early?

Got it, thanks for the info. That was my thinking also. I'm still in the design phase at this point. I'm going back and forth between filter size, 24"x24"x6" or 18"x24"x6". After drawing everything up I would like to try to decrease the footprint "size" of the overall FH. Plus I have to decide on a filter before I can size my blower motor.

Ah that makes sense, never even considered the oxidation issue. Thanks for pointing that out, I can definitely do stainless so that's cool.
I'm actually looking at other designs and trying to think a little out of the box. I even pondered using an "In-line" blower vs "Centrifugal". Ive heard good and bad about the In-line blower vs the more traditional centrifugal type. I have a good centrifugal blower capable of around 650cfm. But I may see if I can come up with something else, I have an idea in mind.
I'll do a build thread when I finalize my design. Thanks for all the help.

Well I'm going to dry and powder those fruits anyways, I'm not too worried about getting some small amount dried bug jerky powder in my final product.

Hey, I had a question? Is it the lack of nutrients (Mycielia ate all the food) that ends more flushes, or is it when water runs out of the substrate and one can just rehydrate by soaking? Just curious how can one know when the food runs out vs. just water and get more flushes?
Thanks,

If you keep a cake around long enough to flush like 8 times it will eventually shrink to 4-5x it's original size and turn to liquidy goop. That's when you know you really have no nutrients left.
Like 99% of the time tho, the cake will contam before it gets to that point
