How low can I go on the lme for agar plates and still get good results?? For cubes.

I'm wanting to lower the nutrition, hopeing to see more rhizo growth. All my plates have gone tomentoes and I'm having a hard time telling if they are clean.

Smellyhobbit- thanks for looking!! You can see in the last pic we're I took from, that's transfer is looking better. Again, thanks. I'll try 1.5% lme.

Take an old blade and scrape out the grooves. Had to do mine like that so the blades would snap in there.

I hadn't thought about glass, that would work. I found a 30x14x8 wire shelf for $20, but they want $40 shipping, I'm way to cheap for shipping...
