Quick question: What do I do with an abundance of overgrown plates that are knotting and pinning? Is there a limit to how much agar I can inoculate a quart jar with?
My absurdly high contamination rate dropped a couple months ago, along with an increase in home temperature. Now, my home and refrigerator runneth over with 100+ plates. I'm just learning proper grain prep and haven't learned LI or LC. I currently have 28 oat jars inoculated with agar wedges and 36 more to modify.

Quick question to clarify: can I use knotting/pining plates to inoculate grain? Or do I have to transfer again?

Can Ps Cyanescens, Azurescens, & Ovoids grow in the same flower pot? I forgot to label my colonized sawdust and don't know which variety it is.

Quick question: Can Ps Cyanescens, Azurescens, & Ovoids be grown in the same container? Outside of course. I forgot to label my sawdust and don't remember which variety it is. 2nd question: A few white cubes popped up in one of my shoe boxes. I've tried to print them but, they aren't dropping visible spores. Should I try and swab them or are they just sterile white cubes.

I covered them with straw, and it's a good thing that I forgot about it bc I have OCD, which is challenging for me since I can easily get fixated on things to the point that my mind breaks. Sometimes.
I also have had the worst week of my life having said goodbye to my BFF of 12 years, my dog. I have been unable to sleep, or eat, and when I do sleep, it all comes back in my nightmares. She passed peacefully in my arms. I hate cancer.
Anyway. It's nuts that I’ve done everything right to be sterile as possible with my mini tray in my mini lab set up, but my raised bed actually fruited faster than my tub.
I planted GT and B+ on the beds. The left is B+ methinks, and the back right is GT.
They were small but seems like the buttons barely openned to sporulate, so I tried making some spore prints, and now the wait for the spores to drop begins. They did have some very tiny bugs, but I removed all I could. I wonder if they’d be safe to consume.

This is what I’m left over with, though, I bruised them (my first time, pls be gentle with me) and now the question I have is, should I bother to use my dehydrator when these are less than a handful?

I can't thank everyone enough for all the help I’ve received. I’m incredibly grateful.
So sorry for your loss. I lost my BFF and was inconsolable for months. It was worse than losing my mother. I wouldn't bother drying them. Unless I have a whole tub or shoebox, It's all I can do to wait long enough to make prints before I scarf them down.

Quick question: Is there an advantage to crushing dried shrooms up for tea vs throwing them in the pot whole? I find straining crushed shrooms a PITA.

Crushed = more surface area
Great! Good to know I've been wasting my shrooms. No wonder I don't get much put of 3gms.
PS. It's hard to tell sometimes when you guys are joking. Rum and Rottn are exceptionally good at it.
The past few days have been quite entertaining.

Always is potent enough for me!
I seem to have a weird natural tolerance to shrooms. It takes twice as much to get half the effect for half the time and im still a beginner. That being said, every once in a while, I get my ass kicked when I'm not expecting it.

Are you only steeping your tea, or are you letting it simmer on the stove for awhile?
Boil tea bags, remove, add shrooms and simmer for a few minutes. Drink. Then add more water and simmer again for the next cup.

Try cooking the mushrooms longer. I simmer them for 25mins. They really have to cook and fall apart. Just like cooking dried food mushrooms.
Thank you, I shall simmer them to mush.

HELLO?
I don't think anything negative would happen.. I've read some people will do it to reheat/sterilize and old batch that they didn't use
MY 8/8 LME Agar turned to mush. As if there was no agar in there. I poured 80 plates last week and so far, the first 25 are blue soup. I'm hoping a few will be hard enough to use.

Kinda..
Apparently letting it sit in the PC for a week in-between PC cycles did something to it. Next time, it goes in the fridge. Thanks
