Closer, but still looks bacterial. Before the stir was it totally clear, tea colored, with strands but no murk? The murkiness is what looks bacterial.
Anyone else? Lots of people with more LC experience than me here...I've done right once, but seen a lot on here.
Post this on the Agar Envy thread and ask there.
I recommend mastering agar before getting into LC. LC is a way to grow a lot of contam quick if you don't have agar down 100%.

Only way to tell is to drip some on agar or put it on grain.
If you started with a clean live culture it could be fine. If you put spores in nutrient water then I'd say toss it and try again with a clean live culture.
Here is a link to a link about agar. https://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/27823057#27823057

Yupp... cool box bro, but like Derrayld mentioned, it a glove box not a SAB.. I could be wrong, but I think I remember reading that those are outdated practice due to the gloves causing air currents.. I'm pretty sure you'd be better off without the gloves

Just about everyone bashed my “Blow box” but agar and results don’t lie .
6yo LC still grew fine? Cool. Did you store it in the fridge? I hear talk about senescence in mycelium cultures, but there are clone strains that have been around for years, being passed around as cultures just like plants get passed around as clone/cuttings. But is there a limit for cube mycelium? I have clone only plants that have been saved and passed around for 20-30 years.

Best looking glovebox I’ve ever seen. It has racks mounted to the sides, some kind of filtered ventilation at the rear. They even named it Dexter. Are those transfers or etching? Everything else looks organized and neat. How do you criticize success?

I'm not hating, I'm just stating exactly how this community will respond. Personally I think it's a damn well made glove box but I wouldn't use a glove box.

Welcome back. That's bad ass! I've wondered how long LC would survive if stored properly. Thanks for sharing.

Very cool. Welcome home.
I can see a lot of creative and logical thinking in your gear/practices. You are an innovator and people like you are important factors in this communities progression.
Did you make or buy the glove box/logos ( if this is an advertisement for a line of products, this is not the place for that and you did not follow proper channels)?

4 grams dextrose in 100 ml distilled, water, then PCed.
So i can make LC with just dextrose? I bought it when i started and never had used it.
Maybe plates too? I was going to start using my brf for it but might as well try some dextrose agar plates.
Would be nice to have an use to it since im running out of LME.

If something works, it works. I also see a place for suggesting changes because of info that’s come to light but that’s where it should end. No one needs to die on any hills or what have you. I guarantee that if I wasn’t who I am, I’d get constant shit for my methods
But again, it’s hard to argue with results. @dexterbot I am curious about the tubs you have pictures and the sub construction.. it looks like a ton of straight verm with a small amount of spawn all the way on the bottom? Can you elaborate on your set up of those, plz?

Reishi is really fun and easy to grow.
