Is slightly fuzzy, greyish growth in grain bag normal?

I know it's hard to tell from the pictures but both my grain bags have greyish, fuzzy clumps close to the agar slices I threw in. Is that mycelium making it's way through or something else?

Mycelium should always be white. Gray is definitely contamination.
Edit: I should add I can’t exactly tell what’s going on from these pictures, but if it is indeed gray and not white then you’re dealing with contam.

I’m new to cultivation, so take this for what it’s worth.
I have successfully removed contamination from a mostly colonized bag and put the healthy mycelium to spawn with no ill effects. It’s possible you could transfer that healthy myc to more grain, but it wouldn’t guarantee genes from that gray gunk wouldn’t follow.
It happens, friend. Regroup and try again is my best advice.

Sometimes mycelium can look a little greyish especially early on when it's thin.. Really hard to tell from those pics but looks suspect for grey/cobweb. Might as well let it go a while, if it's mold you should be able to tell for sure pretty soon.

This was partially an experiment. I'm really new to everything and I had a couple of bags sitting around for about 2 months. I threw in a couple of wedges from an agar dish that was inoculated from mss. How ever my corn jars that were straight shot with mss are doing fantastic.
