Anyone playing this game.  Its basically mobile D3 with a shit ton, I mean a metric shit ton of microtransactions.  It is pay to win at the endgame, but the story can played through with no expenditure if anyone is interested.  It is too bad blizzard is such a shitbag company

Lvl 30 DH

Played for a few hours first two days, haven't really since. Just got the 7 day login legendary, cool helm. Makes sentries into mortars.

Lately I've been playing more D2, and if I have time to phone game, then I'm probably in a position to use my PC, and the PC version of immortal is like a clunkier D3.

They banned it China.  Not because of money.  But a programmer put in a Winnie the Pooh jab at the supreme leader.  Made me laugh actually.  And how Blizzard is going after the Whales.  Vegas talk for Saudi and those around the world that money and finances are no problem.  Spend 100k, nothing.

New world of gaming.  God, made sure I spelled that right so I don't get murdered.  No cartoons drawn and nothing but respect, no disrespect, though I do disrespect it.  But really I don't.

Because really.  I don't want to be murdered in my life.  I don't care how much their kids spend on this game.  Bowing and with respect.

I drink alone.  Playing this and paying this.  And yes Muslims drink.  Like us Mormons!  Just not an idiot.  Though when I don't have shit to do I play Civ and have spent over around 120 U.S.  Well worth it.  And drink and take pills when playing it.  That is a reasonable sum.  This is absolute garbage.  I grow older and then it is not so much about the money, just the worth of the money/finances.  This is not it.

I've seen so many posts on Reddit about the "most expensive" gem or item or whatever, then there was also the guy who spent 20k on something to delete it. Sounds like a waste of time, I'd rather buy a game and only occasionally be accosted to spend more in the form of DLC or what have you. Then again I was never really that into Diablo, World of Warcraft was the first to trap me in its realms.

Yeah, my brothers roommate  at the time got him into World of Warcraft.  He could tell right off it wasn't my thing.  To each their own.  Gaming, we all have our favorites.

With this and how this person explained it, it makes sense.  Thing is, normal and not rich people, gamers, pick up on this shit really quick.  Some are willing to pay for other games within reason, I am not among them but to each their own, but this is like testing the boundaries of the "whales" and normal gamers.

Done with this thread.  Some really good jokes though from it like take out your second mortgage and play this game!  That was great.

I played two rifts since my last post, nothing else.

I feel like Blizzard wanted this to be D4, but when they had the backlash from the "you all got phones, right?" comment, they realized how badly they fucked up.

So they turned this into a cash grab game to cover development costs already spent and development costs for an actual D4 game, and released it for free.

It was fun for a few hours. Sucks for the people that spent money on it. Essentially, Blizzard cashed in on their reputation due to some horrifically bad decision making.

I've stopped regarding Blizzard as a decent game company after what they did to Warcraft 3 with their "remaster". Plus all that sexual allegation crap from the past year. All the good creative juices were squeezed out a while ago.

Yeah, it is to bad.  I thought E.A. was the worst but IMO Blizzard has overtaken them.  In many ways, I get it.

I should clarify, they cashed in on the reputation of Diablo, not Blizzard.

I think games develop reputations separate from their companies, and Diablo, as a series, was pretty revolutionary. I don't think it was outright the first ARPG, but it was the first ARPG that mattered. I remember piles of Diablo clones in the late 90s early 2000s.

Just like Doom wasn't the absolute first FPS, but FPS games were, for a while, called Doom clones.

Doom I think started it or got their beginning before Diablo.  And whoever made the first Wolfenstein.  I don't really know and it is not important enough for me to search it out.  Just yes, they are cashing in on the name brand of Diablo.

Shit I am so ready for my flight and a vacation for the 4th.  The present.  So much of what I think about is such a waste of time.  Vacations sort ones head if they are good ones and get rid of things that really don't matter much at all.

People call them "staycations."  People that travel and just play games and watch t.v. and movies,  spend so much time in hostels and/or hotels, go to the same eateries and do whatever their normal routines are when at home.  And it is like what is the point?  Go explore.  Plan.

I don't post on the internet or play games or watch much of any t.v. when I go.  Reading this with respect I think I am really going to enjoy my 4th and Diablo and this bullshit from Blizzard will be the furthest thing from my mind.  I like to keep up on gaming though but it can take a break.  E.A. ruined its reputation long ago and Blizzard is right behind.

Doom was made by the same people that made wolfenstein, and represented a revolution in the FPS genre that made it playable to the masses, in the early 90s.

Diablo did the same for ARPGs in the late 90s.

Makes sense, I just got a bundle of Wolfenstein games and they are very tight. I love the pacing of the new Doom games, feel like I'm having the most fun panic attack ever.

Youngblood was kind of garbage. Especially since their premium ingame currency is called nazi gold, which is all sorts of fucked up.

New Doom games are pretty epic.

I also just picked up the Metal: Hellsinger demo, which scratches the same itch, but is also a rhythm game. You shoot with the beat, and the closer you are to the beat, the more damage you do. Also, the music is fantastic. Full release Sept. 15th

I've started with Old Blood, its pretty entertaining, can't go wrong with running around killing Nazis. I like that they add a stealth option to most fights, fun to sneak my way around the maps.

Sounds interesting, I don't really play beat games anymore (think my last was the guiter hero era back in the 2000s) but I may check it out.

Never played Old Blood, but New Order and New Colossus were dope. And I like the sneaky message they put in to New Colossus.

I personally hated the Officer mechanic at first, but once it clicked, things got a lot more manageable. It's a different way to force aggression, compared to Doom's push through combat. I still think the push through system with Doom works better in the constant low level panic attack sense, but it was a nice departure from Call of Gears: Duty Field forced cover mechanics. That always got boring.

I mean it's a free demo, so, price is right... It's a lot more along the lines of Doom Eternal in terms of playstyle, too, which I like. Not as acrobatic, but you end up dashing liberally across the arenas, instead of the Wolfenstein feel of clearing them. And they put in the rhythm mechanics very well. Normally, I don't like rhythm games at all, but it just fits.

Nah, it's just capitalism. You will own nothing and be happy. Everything will be a rental/subscription.

How does a game of monopoly end?

Grim dawn is pretty fun been trying out V rising which seems like it'll be a pretty cool arpgish game once it's fully released.
Hell if you haven't played the oringal d2, d2 resurrected is pretty cool.

If I know something is loaded with a ton of mtx where the game is build around making peoples experience worse so they pay for stuff I don't even play it. No reason to unless you plan on spending the money or are ok knowing the game gates you based on frustration.
