Mycelium Slightly Yellowing

Hi everyone.
So this is the first time I've attempted a grow. I started with GT and PE. Both colonized brown rice jars and were subsequently transferred to coir. Over the course of a week, the coir was fully colonized in both shoeboxes, so I initiated FC and flipped the lids. No contamination was visible at any point from spawn to shoebox. The surface is caked in primordia, but some areas appear to have a slight yellow hue to them, as well as some mycelial projections with a tiny brown speck atop. The shoeboxes still smell nice and mushy. I noticed some water pooling on the edges of the shoeboxes which I have attempted to dab with a paper towel. I believe that either a.) my substrate was too saturated, or b.) I was not getting enough FAE when I initiated FC. I've since propped the lids up a bit more to attempt to get more FAE. It's been about 2 weeks in the tubs so far. I read that the slight yellow hue may be mycelial metabolites that are condensing as a result of inadequate FAE, but wanted to get an opinion from those of you with so much more experience than I. Once I have the ability to download some photos, I'll post them.
Thanks for any help.

Yellowing/metabolites are due to contamination if I’m not mistaken. It can also be due to pooling water/being stressed.

In your experience, what are ways to combat this?

I'm unsure as to what it is. I noticed a small pin today in that tub as well as many pins in another tub, so I'm going to wait it out and see. I'm not sure where the contam came from as the mycelium was so well established by the time it started.

Okay, so a small update. Unfortunately when I initiated fruiting conditions, albeit a bit early I think, I had my lids labeled and managed to forget which species was in which tub, so I'm not sure as to which is which at this point. One tub has significant pin production and the other, well, I'm at a loss as to what it is. Any help would be appreciated as I'm not sure if the blobs of tissue I'm seeing are pins or something else all together?
