The freezer, edibles and potency
    #27808401 - 06/06/22 01:16 PM (2 years, 7 months ago)

I've been reading a lot of recent posts that say that changes in potency rely upon changes in genetics. I'm curious whether anybody makes and freezes edibles. I've been making fudge and date bars with cubensis over the last several months. I am not sure whether I am noticing a loss of potency in the freezer, OR increased tolerance in myself. Curious if anybody else has any thoughts on this. The mushrooms themselves are fully dried for 24 hours in a dehydrator until cracker crisp, then pulverized with a coffee grinder into fine powder, then mixed into the recipe for fudge or date bars, then immediately flash Frozen.

I tried freezing chocolates I made, but the chocolate ended up splitting and the bars looked weird. Perfectly edible, but not visually appealing.

I keep them in the fridge now with no issues. Its my fave way to dose unless Im looking to white knuckle come-up with tea.
