100 gallons spore solution 1

I have a pair of 55 gallon rain barrels full of rain. I had a tub of PC mushrooms go overripe and sporulate all over making a purple black mess. I rinsed everything off in the rain barrel and realized I made a hundred gallons of non sterile spore solution. This water is used in the garden so wish me luck on keeping a place with enough moisture to get a crop here in the high desert chaparral . Hope to have mushrooms everywhere in the “back nine “ but am keeping expectations low. Has any other growers had similar experience or tried a similar experiment? I have a seasoned manure pile and a straw bale I’m going douse with the spore rain water and cover with a big tub or tote or just plastic

Cubes are a dung-loving species. Unless you're hosing down a field full of cow patties or horse apples, your success rate will be pretty close to zero.

Did you really read my post? The last part where I mentioned a seasoned manure pile!. Plus I grow them on grain straw compost and coir so they only need a decomposed substrate not necessarily just manure

My battle growing outside is the extremely low Moisture /humidity and high temps. I found some shady all day spots I’ll try to keep wet

My apologies. People just dawdle on here most of the time, so I skim really fast. Blah blah blah, then three paragraphs later they cut to the he chase. Well you mentioned having mushies “everywhere in the back nine”. Whatever the fuck you meant by that. Maybe just lead with “I have a pile of manure” next time.

Really, you don’t know what that term the back nine means? It’s the part of the golf course in back that’s a bit overgrown and has more rough , it doesn’t get visited as often as the first nine holes of the golf course. Sometimes I use colorful euphemisms to try and convey an image it’s a thing I do. I was referring to the overgrown back section of the yard. Point of the post is I have 100 gallons of spore solution that’s gonna get spread all over my property and yeah , psilocybe cubensis natural habitats are grassy pasture with manure plops everywhere . I’ve got a yard full of manure, compost and straw and decomposing organic matter so I have nothing to lose the spores came from an overgrown shoebox tub I had forgot about for an extra day I know it’s not sterile and as I said I’m keeping my expectations low but I’ll be spreading massive amounts of spores all over my property and helping mother nature do her thing. I hope by summer late I’ll have some willing fungi participants.

It'll be interesting to see how that plays out.
From what I've seen in pastures, it does seem like the spores get kicked straight from a mature fruit into the environment, and the most successful ones probably land on fresh patties, where they get a head start on everything else.
If this doesn't work out, setting a small outdoor cake of some sort in the middle of your environment might. Maybe put down freshly pasteurized manure when the veils are breaking...

I have seen success with this. However I think you will have more success if you “plant” a flushed out colonized cake within the manure mix.
I would like to see if dumping the spore solution into the manure straw mix leads to fruits. Keep us posted!

This dude is all talking science and you come in here not knowing common ass phrases and just shit all over his posts for cheap kick, what exactly are you looking to accomplish? When was the last time you tastes any fresh air?
Op: maybe a sprinkler might help with humidity?

A lot of it is spores landing on grass, being digested and surviving inside of cows and said spores being excreted.

Get a few pieces of pvc conduit and arch them over your patch and cover with row cover and then shade cloth (hoop house). The floating row cover will keep in the moisture and the shade cloth will help with heat/UV blasting. Cubes grow in nature too and they do it by spreading spores around which germinate and grow out of manure/dead grass/etc.
10 foot conduit will give you a hoop about chest high and 4 feet wide. Just pound 2 foot pieces of rebar 1 foot into the ground and place the ends of the pvc over the rebar.
I have seen wild cube patches that are black with spore slime for 2 feet in every direction. That stuff spreads on everything. I am really curious if cubes actually live in cows guts like folks claim. It's awfully warm in there and I don't know of anybody who has cultured and isolated and identified cube life from the guts or fresh poop of cows. If that has happened for real please let me know. Cubes are present worldwide in every place that is hospitable to them.
Good luck.

Spouting talk of barrels of "spore solution" all over the "back nine" is not science my dude. He's not really seeking knowledge or spreading it, just seeking attention is all. Cheap kicks is all this post deserves. Calm down boy.

Yup cheap kicks I guess. When I want good shrooms I grow APE or tidal wave from a clean culture. I’m fully set up to grow. This was something that just happened without planning. I just washed the spore laden tub in my full rain barrels and realized I may have helped Mother Nature out. It’s merely an event that happened I wanted to share …for cheap kicks and attention 😁 Now you’ve ridiculed me and I’m hurt , I was planning a huge surprise party for you but you can forget it now !
