Crazy pin set but not maturing

Been growing for 3 years and this is the first tub I've had do this. I've had canopies but nothing like this pin set. Problem is very few are growing very big. I believe there's just no room for them to mature fully but they aren't aborting either. This tub has looked like this for a month. Possibly just a MSS anomaly.

I have read you should bottom water when you have a crazy pinset like that. The mushrooms take most of the water from the tub and there isn't much left over.
I'd add about a cup or two of water between the liner and sub.
It also just might be a mss genetic thing.
Good luck!

Thanks.. may try that. Misting hasn't helped them grow bigger. Its got me perplexed because my canopies generally just cannibalize some of the smaller ones but not this time. Its like its one huge stall with a couple small mature ones here and there.

Could be genetic as well, I've had this happen and no amount of bottom watering helped.

I've had this exact same thing happen to me with a tub. It produced the craziest pinset I've ever seen, like you couldn't see the coir underneath anymore, but they all aborted at around 1/3 of an inch. I have two suspicions: 1. Not enough water in the sub to support all that growth -> Bottom wattering should help, but I didn't do it, didn't really think about it at the time; 2. Bacterial contamination -> I'm 90% sure my spawn was slightly bacterial as it was my first run with grains ever and I didn't pc them long enough.
The aborts were strong as all hell though, very near to PE blobs potency-wise, but it was a pain in the ass to harvest them all. Oh and I have another weird tub from the same spores and grain going right now. I made the shoebox on April 18th using the P) pseudo casing method and it is still colonizing and just started showing knots and primordia. If it starts fruiting and they all abort again, then it is definitely bacterial.
