The Elders Shall Awaken

So I've got some spawn bags, Transki, that I made last July. They are like 10 months old right now.
I'm going to put them in the fruiting chamber today.
I figure it may not make the best spawn, but I might get some shrooms out of it.
Think they will produce fruit?
We shall see. I'll post pics of the bags when I get home, and pics fro. The grow if it works out.

This isn't suitable for the advanced mycology section.
Have they been colonised for 10 months? If so and they were reasonably clean, they likely would have fruited in the bag already?

I wondered about the suitability of this thread for this forum, but I thought the other forum was just for cakes. I looked at the subject titles of a few threads here before posting and saw so many threadsfrom questions about dehydrating a spawn bags, but mostly cake grows in the other forum that I presumed this was the place for it even though I didn't exactlly see this thread, or the ones I mentioned as advanced mycilogy in any way.
How long do you think it would've taken them to fruit in the bag at rest?
I had made some other bags at the same time of different mushroom mycelium, black oyster, that sat around for months that did not fruit in the bags, but when I put them in the fruiting chamber they fruited.
They weren't ten months old at that time though, they were 3 months along at the time of fruiting. Of the ten month old bags I have, the only ones that even started to fruit were the lion's mane. There some aborts in those bags.

The Lion's Mane had not yet produced primordia, or anything for several months. It was not until recently that I noticed them.

Hard to say an exact timeline, it varies.
I can't say 100% that they absolutely MUST have fruited by now, it's just very very common for overdue spawn to fruit invitro.
And particularly Lion's Mane. It is absolutely notorious for fruiting very shortly after full colonisation.
You may very well have luck with them though, only one way to find out.

I guess they will pin any day now if they are going to. I'll post pics if it works out.

Ohhhh noooo i was reading through this hoping for the best result. Do you have much success if you dump them all in an area out the back to start a lil outdoor patch?
