Possible to stop a mold contamination from spreading?

I accidentally cross-contaminated between fruiting tubs and now I have a mold strain that is spreading and taking over the whole thing. When I first noticed the contamination I removed that part of the cake and left on a business trip only to find that it has spread beyond where I removed it from.
I haven't used any chemicals or methods other than cutting out the area a couple of inches beyond the contamination.
Is there any way to remove or stop the mold dead in its tracks without killing the whole tub?

no. if your tub looks like that, you’re fucked. the only time you can “save” a grow with contams is if you already have mushrooms that will be done in a few days & you notice a tiny patch of contams. if you actively have a flush & notice a small bit of contamination, you can salt the area or cut it out to slow down the sporulating, but once you notice contams on the surface it means contamination has already worked its way through the entire substrate. the stuff you’re seeing is really just the tip of the iceberg

Toss it. Once trich shows up, it's a downhill slide so if you don't already have fruits showing just about to finish, it's a lost cause. Tubs also don't cross contaminate like you are thinking as healthy spawn is very resistant to contamination.

Don't even keep totes around that look like that for your healths sake let alone trying to get some mushrooms!
I got sick as fuck from green mold after I ripped up some carpet and it was growing on the glue that was left over when I bought my house. Nasty. Felt like I was coughing glass. 👎👎👎
