What are some ways you can tell the difference between a az and cube?

They are two different things. Cube is a subtropical dung loving psilocybe whereas Azurescens is a wood loving psilocybe that fruits in cold temperatures.

Also they look completely different. My profile pic is azzies for reference or check out the woodlovers thread.

This is my first grow in 8 years.

MSS to WBS to Coir with a bit of gypsum. Put into fruiting conditions 2 days after spawning. No mod 15qt. tub in a homemade martha.

It doesn't have to be rocket science. Just be as clean and simple as possible and you should get results.

First PF-Tek, Burma variety.  All of them are showing great growth, especially the first jar I inoculated which I accidentally  pushed too much as the plunger got stuck.

Very new to cultivation, but I'm taking the leap with agar. I just finished pouring a batch following PGT's EZ 123 recipe. I plan to inoculate soon with a syringe, and carefully. Just trying to read as much as possible to avoid any unnecessary and costly mistakes. Looking forward to the journey and those I'll meet on the way!

You're off to a good start with agar!

The most common problem is using too much multi-spore solution.

It can be really hard to get just one drop if you've never done it before(or if you've done it 20 times).

With syringes, I have had the best luck putting a few drops onto a sterile swab (or q-tips individually wrapped in foil and pressure cooked in a jar to sterilize), and swiping that to agar.

So many vendor syringes have bacteria, and even one drop might be too much solution in that case because one drop can spread out pretty far in a condiment cup.

I like the way the universal veil broke and the shape of these caps. It reminds me of amanitas.

Can’t compare quite yet, just over here quietly watching & enjoying the view. And patiently waiting on fluffy fahtty transfers..

Don’t by a grow kit they said it’ll be crap they said

Jokes aside, I probably wouldn’t have had this amount of pins (or any) had I not came on Shroomery and learning about pinning factors, surface conditions, proper FAE and a billion more things. Really glad for all the support, tips and welcoming from a lot of people here.

I mist above them 3-4 times a day now (hopefully I’m not hurting them doing that). This photo is 4 days after I had my first 3 tiny pins showing. They kind of seem to have a little fuzzy feets but not sure how I could increase FAE to combat that as the lid is already raised almost an inch already.

Here’s their FC for now

The bowl of piss on the side is for trapping those pesky little fuckers, gnats. It’s just water, few drops of dish soap and a tablespoon of syrup. Works like a charm! And webcam for Timelapse capture.

Hello Shroomery! First post, super excited to learn more here. Just had a 60g (dry) harvest from my first tub, lovely teachers. Second flush has pinned.

Working on these golden halos at the moment. This is 7 days after starting the tubs.

That's just way awesome. That's it. My wife is going to be pissed, but I'm going to do the same with some of her kombucha jars today for the coffee table. I've got a few colonized bags of grain that I couldn't make up my mind with. I didn't wanna do anymore weight of them (TAT) Because they're a little on the average side potency wise. I showed her this the other day. See wasn't too enthusiastic about it lol. Hell, she has probably close to 100 of the gallon ones. She can let me use 2 lol. Awesome job! 👌
