Spores growing fuzz on agar
    #27796566 - 05/28/22 03:33 PM (2 years, 7 months ago)

Where my black visible spores are on my agar plates, are growing white fuzz. Is that normal?

Yeah it's normal. Now to let it grow a bit to see if it's myc or contaminate. This is how mine started out and I'm on my 3rd transfer to be sure it's clean.

3rd transfer

Post a picture rather than a description. You'll get wayyy better advice/help.

Hard to tell even with those pictures.
Check this out and compare what you have. You will need to scroll down to the agar section.
How it should/shouldn't look

Looks like good germination plates to me. Wait a few more days so the fuzz grows out more and transfer from the leading edge to new plates.

You have some mycelium growing, congrats!

It's time for transfers! :mushroom2:

Just make sure you take for the leading edge of a rizo growth patch, if its all just tomentose growth then where it looks the best (still new but now to grain :P)

Those are good germination plates. You have a few very promising  early transfers there. Good dice roll.
