I moved with my family to a rural area after the first lockdowns. I finished college, but was forced out of my career path and don't have any social connections or even friends to confide in close by. Trying to run a home business but after a year and a half of no success, I feel like a failure. The only other job options are retail and fast food. How can I fix my life while in practically complete solitude with no options to meet people and no income?

That happens. Sometimes it takes a really long time to find people you have a connection with. I'm experiencing similar feelings, and difficulties "matching" with someone. With that - its only matter of how much efforts you put into finding new friends. Process is long, tedious in a way, people come and go. But keep trying - statistically, you gonna meet someone eventually. But only if you put efforts into meeting new people.
The best thing in your situation, is that you realize that you can achieve more, and you trying. Some people don't even realize their position, and they work at small jobs for decades. That is your advantage, your mindset.
Trying, is the most important thing. "The only person who doesn't make mistakes - the person who does nothing". You are on a good path.
