Will crumbling dry myc into a new substrate work?
    #27794952 - 05/27/22 10:47 AM (2 years, 7 months ago)

I had a monotub that partially colonized a substrate made up of compost which stopped colonizing because it dried out. I ended up taking the cake and crumbling it into a new substrate made up of coir and verm which I properly hydrated. Will the myc be able to colonize the new substrate? Any thoughts or opinions are appreciated.

Probably. But you need to consider a source of nutrients for it. Put a little in a bunch of substrate, there won't be much for them to consume. Should work. Just something to keep in mind.

Still no new growth... I think that when it dried out it went dormant so I am going to give it as much time as I can before repurposing that monotub with new spawn.
