Question about my tub harvest.
    #27789924 - 05/23/22 08:13 PM (2 years, 7 months ago)

Strain: PEU

How the fuck am I supposed to harvest this tub? It's all intertwined and can't cut because it's packed..
I want to harvest big one before the other small but I can't find how.
How would you guys do it?

That was the only fruit that I could harvest because it was a side pin but it looks so much odd its all shrunken probably because of water and there's yellow/orange dot on it.
Is it contaminated should I throw it away?

Just cut the bottom of that fruit off and it will be fine.

Pull and twist at the base of the mushroom when harvesting.

I agree with Tired reply.  Go for the biggest ones and do your best to not disturb the smaller ones as they should have some growing to do.  However you will likely end up with a handful of smaller ones that came out inadvertently. This is a science project opportunity as it has been reported that smaller / younger mushrooms of the same type are more potent than the large ones. So keep and dry the small ones separately from the large ones and experience the same amount at separate times and see if you notice a difference.  Wish i could be there to partake in your awesome harvest!

I'm guessing this would require Katana Tek to harvest... We were just talking about that earlier!

Can´t see the issue here.
Grab the liner and pull that brick out.
You´ll see how strong they´re connected to the surface.
Sometimes you just need to tap them.
If not, take a knife.
For not disturbing clusters, you can just cut the big one´s caps off
and take some prints, while the rest catches up.
I´d also give them some more time to flatten out.

Very important to me:
I avoid to harvest completely off, if it´s not an even canopy.
Ime you not only disturb the current flush with picking the immatures,
but also a following flush, that´s already in preparation.

That is the answer that I was looking for. But I have some question.
- Does only cutting the cap and leaving the stem cause some problem?
- What do you mean by giving more time to flatten out?
- And lastly which is not really related to your answer do you think covering holes in sub with dry verm not pesturized would be a problem?

If you want to take some prints, let the caps become flat, then cut and print on foil.
If not, harvest as the veil tears.

Never did this before.
I´m not a friend of "patching" used substrates,
but verm is just a mineral, and therefore rarely wants to contam.
If you don´t store your verm open air, just hydrate it and cover the holes.
