My problem with starting beans outside is more than the hot hot sun. The damn squirrels like to tear shit up. So if it’s a small plant they can’t kill it…

I disagree,  the smaller the plant,  the more likely that the squirrels will carry it off, that's what I experienced recently if you remember. I don't know if it was squirrels or rats, but both will eat small plants,  they didn't mess with the more mature plants that I had with the small seedlings in the back of a trailer.

Hope everyone has been well. If you believe in prayer, please pray for my granddaughter to beat this bone cancer diagnosis. Wishing everyone the best.

Jesus Christ, some people are just….. hard headed.
okay so when I say small plant I don’t mean a baby seedling. I mean a small plant. Not a little sprout that a damn squirrel can kill by stepping on or digging by it…

So probably about 2-3 weeks old at least.

Edit. doc, you agree with me bozo… your saying the same thing lol.

Those tops look amazing. Seems super dense.

Since I messed up and flash dried the first Laos I’ve been babying the clone I cut a week and a half ago. So far it’s looking a lot better cure/dry wise.

So am I!!! The ones I stolen by squirrels or rates were a foot or in height with several branches.
Here's the one they didn't eat

This is what is left from one that was just a little smaller and was ready for final planting,  you can clearly see where it was chewed off in the 3rd pic. They are in one gallon pots in these two pics, 1st pic is a 4 gallon fabric pot.

Edit: I am agreeing with you,  you just misunderstood me. What do you think of brickweed female,  bottom of last page, I hate she died from neglect,  but y'all can see that brickweed is beautiful before the cartels get hold of it from the way she looks and if she could have went a few more weeks,  she would have been especially pretty.

Your asking what I think of that “brick weed”?

I bet it would have been okay if you watered it instead of chopping it way early, it was totally still green. I was wondering why you thought it was dead?

I think you might have a kid running off with your plants. Lol
Whole plants just disappearing? Ah hell nah. Lol, I’d be setting up some cameras!

Simple solution to that problem is eat the squirrels before they can eat your plants.

Hank Shaw has a killer squirrel pie recipe.

Thunks have been nailed by the rain, Saturday the sun came out and birds started to fetch seed from one of them so I decided enough was enough and harvested at 18 weeks.

No they aren't done unfortunately,  you're seeing rain damage effecting the trichomes.
They had another 3 - 4 weeks still.
The skunk #1 phenotype was starting to pack weight on but it's not worth the risk at this stage.

The purple plant was being annihilated by the birds on Saturday, I'd like to preserve the seed so I had to harvest now or lose everything.

will the birds fuck them up trying to find seeds in a sensi crop?
or do they know there isnt any seeds?

also, im about to put my sprout outside. its a grey rainy day so that will be good 1st day above ground. Are there any pest prevention measures i need to take to keep the girl alive?
im thinking of some chicken wire but at the same time im also trying to be incognito.

If you're northern hemisphere I would wait until June 1st and the very earliest to put a plant out.  I've been tempted myself given the good weather we've been getting here in Oregon, but I'm trying to hold out for June 10th.

I've been mixing soil a lot lately.  Thanks to poor weather and general exhaustion from work I'm behind on half of my big pots.  I've got a promising male and what I have fingers crossed is a female to continue the highrise F99 OG auto line.  I really hope these pants work out and I can make a bucket of seeds.  A long time ago I used to test for the now defunct Highrise and occasionally a real winner would slide into the mail box.  The Fire OG x Cinderella 99 auto is a real winner.  Produces sticky buds that are very potent and has a great daytime high.  Also great for crossing to photos to shorten up their outside flowering time while not losing any potency or quality.

No, birds don't touch sensi crops.
I wouldn't know how they know the seeds are there but they wait until they're ripe as well.

Make sure you don't put young sprouts into the ground,  snails and slugs love tenders sprouts. Start them in pots and keep them raised to start.
Pot them up when they have maybe 4 internodes.

Outdoors is a whole different ball game… you have to grow extra plants to because some will get jacked up… and bugs, omg your going to learn all types of new bugs! White flies and budworms are little shits! So your going to want some kinda garden spray( i like the organocide stuff, it smells like pickles and it works pretty well) for the damn bugs!

One year ( when I started growing) I had budworms and birds came and ate em all! Well most of em! It was awesome! I love the birds after that!

I’d say two-three weeks hobbit, at least.

Nah, no person is stupid enough to go in my backyard, because Sasha the guard hog doesn't tolerate strangers in her yard, she 5 foot long and 480+ pounds with 2 inch incisors.  she has no problem with keeping people out, just the sight of her is enough to make people think twice because she looks feral and will charge on sight.

I think the brickweed female had another month, I say she was dead because every single leaf was cracker dry and fell out at the slightest touch, pistles were shriveling up, she wasn't coming back from not being watered for at least 10 days, possibly 7, but 10 is most likely.
The outdoor Brickweed female is still chugging along, luckily we've been getting some rain while I've been gone. They are doing pretty good but are showing their own signs of neglect, will post pics when I get back home again in a few days.

Hobbit, let them get at least a 12-18" before putting in the ground, because all kinds of critters like weed.

Has anyone ever been successful using molasses to control sucking pest like aphids? I started using on my outside plants and it seems like it helps, but needs to be repeated a couple times a week it seems.

That hog is awesome!  How much food does she eat in one day?

I got all the critters in my yard because my neighbors all have dogs and I don’t, so it’s like a sanctuary for them.

Oh man, one year I got a sling shot for the squirrels, well the first time I pulled it out , whap! Head shot and I still feel bad!
So I just grow extra now…. And try to chase them off… lol
