Recently coming into wealth, somewhat illegally * 1
    #27658743 - 02/14/22 02:08 PM (1 year, 11 months ago)

So long story short, I have a friend who basically found an inside track on smuggling at a local very large scale airport.

We combined efforts through my connections and started a small flow of business, we agreed not to expand the volume or risk.

I've come upon wealth that I never imagined having.  I used to have a regular job making about $100/day after taxes.  And before that, my family were basically lower-middle class in income, working class, both parents had full time jobs...

Now I make enough to be in the top 1% of earners in the country.  About $35k per month.

It's surreal the sway you have in a capitolistic society once you make money.  Any basic human services at your beckoning that you used to not have.

I once walked into a Louis Vuitton store and they totally ignored me until I took one of the hoodies off and asked if I could purchase it in my size.  Then all of a sudden they gave me their business cards, asking me stuff like "oh where are you from?  Do you come visit this are often"?  They even offered me tea or champaigne.  The hoodie cost $1,100.  And it's not even the best made hoodie I own.

The best part is being able to travel.  I can book a flight to any basic popular location and a length of hotel stays at the drop of a hat without really sweating the expenses.  That's the most amazing part.

Convert some of it into precious metals that you bury, in case you get caught.

Indulgence of excess in any form will usually bring bad consequences. Keep that in mind.

Not gonna lie, I am jealous of you.

I am antisocial so I have no connections.

And I am paranoic, so I wouldn't want to break the law.

btw, enjoy.

Hope you guys figured out a way to launder it cause you'll be caught real soon if you haven't. You guys need a legitimate business.

this is why we've agreed not to increase the scale of this.

Even though it would be very easy to increase our volume, it just seems those who get too greedy with this are the ones who get caught.

Also, I'd rather not deal as directly with supplier/cartels than I can.  And if we go larger scale we've have to refer to a more direct supplier.

True

30 grand a month for one individual does not go unnoticed though. You need a form of legal income especially if you want to make asset purchases. You can either set it up with a group of people or on your own.

In general, don't get greedy and try to evade taxes.

And most important, have a plan to get out of the game.

the NSA could order what ever country the server is in(a NATO one im sure) and you allegedly hidden ID isn't so hidden

even if that probably cant happen, it might and why risk it.

While I disagree on moral ground with "illegally" acquiring currency; buying precious metals is basically opening a savings account with it in a type of money that can't be debased.

That is, assuming the OP is being honest.

OP, you're being gaudy, buying $1100 hoodies and all that.

You seek recognition - what you are recognized as will be surplus wealth.

You will get caught, being as flaunty as you are.

You really should be able to stash 20oz a month. Do that before its all gone.

When you're in prison getting fucked in the ass knowing your girl is having the same done by another guy - know that you'll be coming home to a literal treasure trove of gold when you get out.

What I'm saying is:

1) don't do the crime, quit NOW while you are ahead

2) you show people you have too much money - they will arrest you

3) if you're stubborn nonetheless, stash away wealth for longterm storage.

Do you know THE moment puppet accounts are found out?

Generally this is when they irk a staffer who then does a puppet check.

The same display of wealth that makes LV employees kiss up to you will awaken a resentment in cops who will check-doublecheck you out of envy.

You are rolling out the red carpet for being investigated or home invasion robbed.

new money always looks like fools

instead oof wasting your money on a stupid hoodie maybe save it

illicit money flows can be cut at any time and if it is figured out youll end up in prison and poor after the government takes all your ill gotten gains and fines you into the next century

and if you are spending over 100$ on any item of casual wear your just an idiot sheep.

part of having money is knowing when and where to spend it, the richest people in the world don't wear 1000$ hoodies because they realize it is a waste of money and they don't need to boast about poor financial changes

Just imagine. If rich people were investing all the money they blow on gaudy clothes because they got some gay european dudes logo on them, they could be even more rich.

I saw a pair of camouflage jordans with a pair of huge rubber wings sticking off the back for $500 the other day. The only people i could imagine wearing them are lil wayne and the flash.

my family isn't rich but we are for sure not poor.

i come from what is called generational wealth

you know what my dad wears when he isn't at work? jeans, a button down and Nikes.

people who know how to make and save money don't spend it on ridiculous things like a 1000 hoodie.

jesus.

I'm not saying you cant have nice things but you are the definition of a custie if you spend over 100$ on anything you wear.

you going to pass that hoodie down in your will? or you think it is any different than a 50$ hoodie? the only thing your are buying is a brand name.

you are what people who have money call 'new money', and that is not a complement.  People like you are easy to pick out as you think you need to dress in stupid looking designer hoodies that in a year or two will be faded and out of style...

also if you buy stupid shit like that it draws attion to yourself

what are you going to tell the IRS when someone who doesnt like you blows you in???

and you don't think the IRS doesnt do audits?

save the money for later in your life, buy a house and land and just chill out.

don't look like an idiot with a custie hoodie on, people like you are targets for people with more than 2 brain cells.

why do you think rappers and alike get robbed all the time? because they feel the NEED to broadcast that you have a little bit of cash.

go take a finacial planning class at you local community collage, you got the money and time right?

this might sound harsh but it is sound advice.

A rich man getting into heaven is more difficult than a camel going through the  eye of a needle.

I forget who said that, but there's something to it.

People are literally starving and dying worldwide. I suggest you find a small, efficient charity that you trust will use resources wisely, and donate very generously. Life is a school.

I wish you many blessings 🙏

I agree with a lot of the points people have made..

I feel bad for your friend (if he's any smarter than you, that is), because youll probably end up getting busted and dragging them down with you.. you say you don't want to expand or increase risk, however you're already throwing up a ton of red flags..

There are already so many little things that can go wrong and put you in prison, but some things (like attracting unwanted attention to yourself) are completely in your control..

However,  considering the road you're already on, it may not last that long.. so I guess the other side of that argument  could  be to just live it up and enjoy it while it lasts...

You may think you're being sneaky and nobody knows what you're doing, but trust me, if you're wearing a hoodie that costs $1,100 and living a lifestyle that you shouldn't be able to afford, people know.. you're putting that shit on blast.

Smart money is the money than nobody knows you have.
