Natalensis? Easily proven?

Jokes aside, spawn ratios were discussed a lot in this thread late 2020/early 2021. I'm a believer myself. I can get away with 1:3 with a good clone culture, but I always bump it up for MS runs.

1:3

Some that were 1:5 and 1:6

Took 35 grams wet last night. I’ll write a full report in the correct sub forum soon, but I will say it was awesome. Potency was there, but it had almost zero confusion or fearful, dark thoughts like I get from higher doses of cubes. Almost no mind fuck or visuals.  Instead of an uncomfortable body load, it was just waves of euphoria, and an almost drunk, stumbling feeling in my legs. Lots of laughter and smiles. It almost reminded me of MDA or something rolly. Definitely a different experience than cubensis. Highly recommend it.

Thanks again to everyone who helped me, and thanks Mojave. It was a beautiful experience.

Thanks for the trip report. I still haven't tried mine yet and what you describe sounds perfect.

Thanks for the trip report, Mystic! Glad I could help someone else experience this awesome species.

How long was the trip?

The visual thing is one of the weirdest parts of natal for me. I for sure get very strong visuals but they’re nothing like cubes/pans/tamps. No patterns or walls breathing or wood grain rivers.

With natalensis it’s like a weird filter on my vision.

The waves of euphoria/pure joy are nice too

i was curious about the visuals on higher doses. at 20g fresh i was def getting closed eye visuals, after a bit of a joint on the peak everything got sparkly for a sec & i did get some movement in the patterns on my bed spread. kinda bummed to hear the visuals aren’t as strong, that’s one of my favorite aspects of psyches, but the headspace is so good i doubt i’ll care once im on them lol

AKA, the filtered look to everything for sure. I felt like it was hazy like the air was thick..

The lack of headspace and anxiety on the come up made me question the potency at first, but then I would get up to do something and could barely navigate around my own home. Very pleasurable body sensations, and stumbling and double stepping a bit. We laughed a lot.

I would say about 5-6 hours duration. I kind of lost track though before I fell asleep.

I believe I've also felt that "everything's hazy" feeling on Nats that MysticMycologist describes. I'd never gotten such a feeling from cubes, even at relatively high doses. Like there's an overlay of haze and spiraly clouds on the entire landscape. Natalensis trips are definitely very interesting. Aah dude how I'd like to have one right about now but it'll have to wait a couple weeks

Every time that I eat L or shrooms, the room always looks cloudy or foggy before I start tripping. It's the weirdest thing.

Nat visuals are different for me too. It’s more like an instagram filter, where cubes kinda intensify the discrepancies in the visual landscape (shadows getting darker, lights getting brighter, etc)

Most of my nat visuals include some type of vibration too. Like everything seems to be shaking

has anyone tried mixing nats & cubes? like a 50/50 dose of each? or supplementing one with the other at all? the thought just crossed my mind

also doctor mario  on the TC tag! you’ve always been awesome.

I'll be the last to join the party, but congrats to the tag Mario! Well deserved. Elpico will (should) be next.

Also, I've finally gotten top-fruits with my Nats! I'll post the pics later along with a tutorial how to never worry about overlay ever again!

I like this Pheno, first flush from multispore.

I haven't mixed these with cubes yet, but I like the idea. Currently I got a tub with transkei cubes pinning, so I might give it a try soon.

That's awesome brother, let me know if you need any new cultures to play with.
Do you still have your nat culture? I can return it if needed.

I got this very special mutant of natalensis of which I will upload a pic.

Honestly I believe it to be in the pretty special category of mutants that the cube Enigma is in, as well as Omni and a few others I am not recalling the names of right now... it seems they have mutations in crucial non-coding regions.
My best guess of Enigma is that it can pretty much only differentiate hyphal knots into stipe tissue or something like that.. they pop up as a lot of 'rods' with no caps on em and when meeting each other they just meld together to form the coral-like structures and otherwise kinda behave a lot like blobs.
"Gill tissue" or even "stipe tissue" are probably sort of a collection of multiple kinds of tissues combined - it does seem that there are different strains of Enigma out there and one explanation for that is epigenetics: there may be different emphasis on the expression of subtypes of tissues even if on another level purely in terms of DNA sequence (just basepairs without any details like methylation etc) they are the same strains. I suppose we do not really have the proper terminology to make this distinction?

However this nat apparently can only differentiate into gill tissue, this seems to be the only tissue it is composed of - it appears to be fully functional hymenium with a lot of air..

Was just curious if someone else is familiar with this?

It's called 'Gyrus Pileus' and it is unknown how much work it needs before it is ready to see the light of day.
If anybody knows something about it or has seen it before, send me a PM.

I really hope that some research gets/is done on this topic regarding how the development, differentiation and morphogenesis works. I can't exactly check out like the proteomics but I got some pet hypotheses at least about interactions with Enigma.

For that matter I am also pretty curious about the crossings of nats with cubes. Supposedly this has been done? But I think not every strain of cube is ready to do this with every strain of nat. So that is a cool topic as well.
