In my experience heavy pinsets always mature super slowly. At least with Tamps.

Excellent.
I have a question for you who do monotubs;
Let's say you use 4 quarts of spawn for a large tub. And I use 1 quart for each shoebox. If move up to monos, will I get more shrooms / stronger shrooms / faster grow (or any other advantage) doing 1 monotub than doing 4 shoeboxes?
If so, why?
thank you.

Not really. It's easier to maintain surface conditions with larger substrates, but that's about the only advantage over shoeboxes. That and a big canopy of shrooms looks pretty cool. If you do 4 shoeboxes with 1 quart of spawn each, or one tub with 4 quarts of spawn, they be pretty much the same yield/speed/potency.

Mono canopies sure do look really cool!
So since "not much difference other than look" is the answer, I think I'm going to stay with shoeboxes for a while longer. Especially since if I fuck one up I don't lose all of them.

Yeah that's the greatest advantage of shoeboxes if you're using quart jars of spawn. That problem goes away though if you're using mycobags. One bag to one tub.

Cool looking cakes. Does the depth of the substrate have an effect on the grows at all?

These are the only "cultivation" pictures I have so far but they are pics of my pan shoeboxes from today! No shrooms yet but I have a feeling they're getting close though.

I ended up with more inoculated agar plate than I needed, so prepared a few jars with an agar mix: wedges from AA , B and golden teacher plates (mainly clones, some were from spores).
So far I got:
Jar with only five fruits all looking like this:

Cups where only the AAs grew:

Two shoeoxes with a mix:

These two gave a small (50gr ish total wet) harvest of AAs first, now growing a combination of white and orange caps. I’ve had two different strains growing together in the same flowerpot before as well (spent cakes mixed together with fresh sub) and they also took turns. Would consistently harvest a few of one strain and a few days later the other started pinning. Kinda fun to watch.
