 Help with signature please?

I was wondering how people shorten links? Like if I wanted my grow log in my signature to just say something like "first grow log" without showing the link and still be clickable and link to my log how would I go about doing that exactly? Thanks in advance!

When making a post, hit the globe icon next to the *** icon and you can type whatever you want for a link.
But the real help you need on your signature is how to delete that monstrosity.
