i think i posted this link already in one of your other threads, but there’s part of this tek you could probably use to better effect than gelatin. agar will give you best results though, when you have the funds amazon or any asian grocery store in your town should have some!
Yeah definitely not worth it I guess. Sadly we don't have any Asian grocery stores around my town. I will order some one day though. I'll check that tek out, thanks.

Well I thought coir was nutritional at least a bit and I thought sterilizing it completely would open it up to contaminants because I ran out of vermiculite and haven't found any locally yet and I'm substituting coir for verm so that was just ignorance on my part. I will probably try it though just for shits and giggles so I'll keep an update on it as it goes along.

Usually them bricks are next to zero nutritive. That´s why people add some fertilizer for gardening/planting purposes. So people should always look out for coir not having additives.

I don't have a brick of coir. I use the bagged coir from Walmarts gardening section so I figured it had some nutrients.
