Substrate still wet after first flush, should I still mist?

So my fruiting block/cake just had its first flush. I read and was given the advice to mist/dunk after the first flush to rehydrate it. But what if the cake is still really hydrated and not even dry at all. When I picked the last mushie off the cake I noticed it’s still spongy and and has lots of water retention. Do I still need to mist it to get a second flush or let it be? There’s tiny little pins still coming out from all over the cake as well. Is this already the start of my second flush than?

Another couple questions. Here’s my fruiting block. Should I keep the temps the same 65-70, also my RH has always been 98/99% throughout the first flush. How long after is the average wait for second pins to actually start growing. As I mentioned, I see quite a bit of very tiny little pins all over the cake that formed after I harvested my first flush

i would still give it a solid misting. in my experience it’s hard to over mist the substrate after a good first flush. you don’t wanna make it sopping wet or have pooling water but definitely keep the surface moist. if your cakes have good moisture but your surface dries out it can inhibit pinning
