First attempt after months of research resulted in some funky fruit. Substrate too wet?
Are they any good still?
Shoebox in SGFC 80% humidity 75 F

What did you inoculate with and to? What’s your substrate and ratio? How long have they been in the shoeboxes? Why do you have shoeboxes in a SGFC? Are you fanning/misting? Why are your pictures sepia?

Too little FAE / wet substrate - Why did you put your shoebox inside another tub?

I guess my only response to why shoeboxes in chamber is "newbie" ? Next time maybe dub tub. Inoculated with grain on CVG field capacity with a 1:1 ratio, mist a lot thinking the substrate was too dry in when it went into the FC so that's why I'm thinking over sat. Fanning every day as well
Thanks all for the help.

what strain is this? honestly i’m not seeing anything horrible going on & your pin set looks dense as fuck. usually overly wet/unhealthy subs don’t pin like that IME. KSSS has a pheno that grows those squaty UFO type mushrooms like that big one in the upper right corner of pic 1
you shouldn’t have to most before full colonization/pinning if your conditions are dialed in. at or near 100% your surface should look like this & should stay like that throughout the rest of the grow. don’t worry about ambient RH, you should be more focused on your surface conditions. don’t fan, it’s useless. your FAE should happen passively through holes in the tub. nothing wrong with fruiting a shoebox in a SGFC or in a larger mono as long as surface conditions stay proper. putting shoeboxes in larger monos is more popular than dub tubbing these days, & i think mushboy even mentions fruiting multiple shoeboxes in a mono in his write up

This is Super Strain KOH. I have not witnessed a full fruit process before, they just looked short and stubby. It's been 5 days from the time the first noticed pinning to those pics. Maybe more patience and let them do their thing? Thanks hazyhorse

oh dog, yeah those are 100% fine. you got a fucking killer pin set & the sought after phenotype of koh super strain. take some clones if you want!! in this case the short squat mushrooms are just a genetic thing. but seriously, sick ass tub. you did something right so congratulations! just keep the surface properly moist & you should have a killer harvest (:
