There isnt a general thread for baseball talk and I want there to be one.
I needed to say some shit about the Mariners game last night.. Insane. It's like God above knew the Mariners needed all the help they could get, and he blessed them with miracle powers. Almost none of the hits they got had any business being a hit. The phillies were making so many errors, Mariners getting on base with broken bats and balls hit so softly that their speed doesn't even register on the radar. Robbie Ray striking out batter after batter with pitches that roll in the dirt. I sincerely believe that some sort of metaphysical force was on the field last night..

Trout used to be my hero in baseball and now he is a really shitty player. Angels are garbage as are the Rockies, only two teams I care about. Though glad the Mets are making a resurgence. Just for one old timer that is a Mets fan for life I listened to. Makes me laugh POST TO MY THREAD!
Who cares? Is about the views if you post anything of worth. Be yourself, doesn't matter. NBA Finals time and more people are interested in that as am I. Don't put your self worth worth on replies. Pay more attention to the views. If people have nothing to add or a honest debate, fuck them. When their are a lot of views it means people actually like what one is posting.
God. I don't even know who to root for this year in the MLB as my teams are garbage but saw a S.F. and Oakland and San Diego, that park is amazing, overall the West is the best as in San Fran. Though the hero there now is Crawford with all the fans wearing the jersey. Rockies are just boring without Story and Nolan and Trever. Going to Vegas instead of Denver for my next trip. Hope the A's move there and actually have a budget and not that garbage of a stadium and players.
Best guess is the Yankees. Haven't been there since seeing steroid Mark and Jose, and the latter crushed one back then. Would like to see the new stadium and Judge is tearing it up. St. Louis and the Yankees. My way to far ahead of who I would like to see in the W.S.

Just remember. The shroomery is about fun and it is sometimes woke as shit but at the same time, like Hunter S. Thompson, the drug culture gets it and is great to get a laugh or just people that get what one is posting.
Even when really fucked up and posting, one replied, after another poster replied, and I will always remember it. "You might not get it but he gets it." That still makes me laugh to this day. On with life. Is good.

"The Los Angeles Angels, in the midst of a 12-game losing streak that has tarnished their remarkable start to the season, fired Joe Maddon as manager on Tuesday."
Fare thee well.
Went to the shit Oakland A's stadium, at least I got a cool hat I like since it was hat night, just a happy coincidence. Wore my Angels hat there thinking it would be shit. I don't travel out of state for promos as in San Diego I could give a shit less when a guy said get their early for that promotion, I just went basically, I don't give a shit. But that hat, seriously, quality and for the A's quality. Black and red A's with a cool pattern under the cap. I am sorry marketing people in College as sometimes they get it right. And then saw Trout and Japan guy MVP go o-4 each but at least they won the game and took that shitty train back through shitty Oakland.
If one wants to see the most boring industrious sights and the glory of Oakland take the fucking train to a game. No one is going anymore anyway. Go to Vegas. Will build something amazing like for the Raiders.
Angels. Blah. Maybe Trout lied about his age like Albert and is really 40 instead of 30. Who knows? He seems confused by the baseball now.

Cards batting him cleanup for a game at 60, has been verified.
Seriously am starting to take notice of the Yankees and Judge/MVP. Saw the old ballpark and want to see the new one. Used to hate them but in some strange way am glad they are relevant again in the MLB.

MLB is dead. Going to the Yankees-Dodgers for endless years. Playing a baseball game that simulates and it is always Yankees against the Dodgers. No other teams have a chance. Fuck off MLB. And that strike for this shit way back when the Expos were going to win it all.
Plus to your concerns as a M. No one cares about sports on the shroomery.

MLB needs to make some changes. 1. Get rid of Manfred. 2 Pitch clock 3. Computerized strike zone 4. Bad umpires like Angel Hernandez get fired for poor performance 5. Better marketing for generational talent like Shohei Otani

Think the Jap is well marketed just like Jersey man. Doesn't help when the whole team around them sucks. Dodgers do it a lot better and why they win. Angels are like puppies to a Pit Bull.
And yes, everyone hates Angel Hernandez. Still with the pitch clock and like how they don't let batters undo their straps on their batting gloves after every pitch and step out of the strike zone like every pitch is in the world series. I do like the jap. My late Grandfather fought as an artillery specialist of where they would go, in a math way to give to the troops in that war and it used to be front line news, JAPS are this and that in the war effort and victories over them but this is 2022 so won't use that anymore.
Angels just suck, year after year. Tired of it. Saw them in Chicago before their epic losing streak and they won 2-0. Things were looking good. Then things went really bad. They put up billboards all over L.A. when they signed that idiot deal for Albert. Marketed the hell out of him. At the same time Dodgers and them have in the last 20 years one championship each as they celebrated it recently. 2002. And brought out that team at home.
It is going to be Yankees and Dodgers for a long time. Payrolls with no salary caps. No parity, it sucks. Just a bunch of minor league teams in the majors developing players for their big paydays in the big markets.
And yeah for the A's game it was hat night and for the A's being notoriously cheap that is a quality hat. Plus it says on the side, stop asian hate I guess because Covid came out of China and people were just beating up people for it? Stupid.
But yeah, Rendon is another stupid contract and the Angels drafted EVERY DRAFT PICK pitchers. Maybe it will turn out in time. Just the organization is so poorly run.

Idk man the Yankees haven't been to the World Series in almost 15 years. The Rays are competitive every year with a shit payroll. They are the best at developing players. Teams just come out of no where every few years. 97 Marlins, 03 Marlins, 21 Braves, 15 Royals. Big payrolls help a lot, but luck is a big factor, too.
It's crazy the Angel's can't win with Trout and Ohtani.

True. Yet, They build for one year and are done. The Yankees had to keep their relics for the H.O.F. and that level of payroll till they retired and had their going away party and thank you to the fans, yet look at the Yankees now. Will take them this year.
If you remember the Seinfeld days, they always won it then the Red Sox did a few times, but overall all the teams you listed and you could put the White Sox in there as well they lose everyone of worth after one championship.
You have a good point. Didn't realize it had been 15 years yet when I am in Vegas on the 4th betting on them they are going to win. Will see this year, am fine being wrong when I am. I have to look up the last 15 championships as no one repeats it seems like.
Thanks for posting that so I don't get to overhyped over the Yankees this year and riding them. I want to think the Angels will turn it around and ride a winning streak on them but I just don't see it happening for them. They have this losing stink to them that no one wants to touch. Will see. And it is more than that am a fan and even two years ago bought an Angles hat and red cleats and copied Trout and his two handed swing.
I remember you posting before. Glad a sports fan is back.

Yeah man. I've been itching for years for the shroomery fantasy baseball league to start back up.
But shit man I didn't realize the Yankees were this good. They are absolutely, ridiculously good. They will definitely make the playoffs, which is a crapshoot. Since they will almost certainly make the post season they are who I would bet on.i think Gerrit Cole has the ability to absolutely shutdown an offense twice per series. That seems to be the most important thing in the post season, a clear #1 starter.

Has been iffy this year. Will see in the playoffs. The number one pick of the minor league Pirates and pitched well to make it to the Yankees. But yeah remember those days. Just was never into it. I did it with the NFL and I just want a team to win instead of throwing a T.D. pass instead of just handing it off for a t.d. or running it in.
Anyway. not even the all-star break yet. Some other teams have impressed me as well. But Yanks, is so strange to see that stadium filled and how they are so into the team this year, even at those prices.
But will see. I thought G.S. was a gimmie this year when the playoffs started and would of been right but that level of panic attacks in a casino just isn't worth it. So I just enjoyed watching it. Like I do with the MLB. Just watch the highlights unless traveling to a game, 4 different stadiums in 3 months and that is so much different then just watching it on t.v.
When one gets used to streaming and not paying for commercials, watching on the t.v. live is boring as shit. I would if it was the only team I cared about which is the Rockies. Which are a joke. But at least I live near Nevada. Sportsbooks are fun drinking and talking with fans and then within fun yelling out when winning and shutting up when losing. Is fun.
Have my black and red A's hat from Oakland. Have been to San Fran many times and their park but first to the worst of stadiums. IMO. Can see that being the Las Vegas A's, hope they do move there.
But it could be worse if one was a Cinci fan. That ballpark is for hicks. That MLB rainbow flag. I just want to watch the game. I DON'T CARE! It is a fucking baseball game.
A song that fits it,
The GREAT AMERICAN BALLPARK! God that city and stadium is garbage as is the team. Why is Votto still on it? 38 and a massive contract, just looked it up.

I'd like to see the Rockies win it all man. I remember back in the day man Larry Walker, Todd Helton, Dante Bichette, Vinny Castilla, they were so fun to watch. And prime Ubaldo Jimenez throwing straight 🔥, one of my favorites to watch. And that winning streak back in 08, shit was wild. Sucked they didn't win that year.

Well they played the Red Sox within one run many of them. They didn't go all Astros and cheat. I respect them for that. People will always hate the Astros.
On another note, please Oakland move to Vegas and get a payroll and like the Marlins don't dump players. Think A's management already knows. Bringing my A's cap to Vegas on the 4th holiday there. The red and black. Hope I don't get shot.
Enjoy your 4th. I feel to bet against the Yankees on that day. Shit, I bet what I can lose and that is it, not a greedy man. Anyway on with the season and all-star break and please for the love of God AVS win the NHL title.
Since you use to post here long ago remember that guy that tried to get people into men's lacrosse? And it was, what? NHL is different, by a long shot. Denver has all of them that matter. 700-1000 to see a game. Nope. Highlights. Though in my life experience the crowd makes it, not at those prices, but playoff atmosphere is electric. Fuck Bryant. Feel I should have a special shit made that reads fuck Kris.
Arenado, doing quite well in the St. Lou. Would of been a HOF here and number retired. Cubs dumped him to be on IR. 160 million. Why not to a guy that can play, an IRON MAN! We hate Monfront.

It reminded me of how hard it is to hit a home run in that place. Colorado last year/L.A. this year. Found it amusing. Going to and watching N.L. West games through the season.
Albert, is a nice send off on his farewell tour. Just don't take a helicopter home. On with the games. I wonder with those that didn't make the all star teams what they do with their short break when you have that kind of money.
Really I respect all the time and effort they put in for so much of their lives to even make it to the MLB level. Would be interesting to see a doc on it on ESPN. Do they even do 30 for 30's anymore? Don't know.
Haven't been on cable for a very long time. ESPN, owned by Disney with that stock crashing as ESPN turned woke and all the ones that made sports fun are now diverse and like animatronics. Blah.
On with the games. Record for Seattle is 15 games in a row and they are at 14 in a row. I have lived in Seattle on and off and must say, I hope they break that record but that area and that stadium is shit. Seahawks, different story.
Still an upgrade from the Kingdome. If anything deserved to be destroyed that was it. Next Tampa Bay and the Rays hopefully.
Looking at the second half. Yanks and Dodgers are the favorites to meet up with the Dodgers favored to win it all. Will see.

LLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLoooooserrrrs. They almost got two games. Like the Rockies almost got two W.S. wins against the Bosox and got swept. We will always remember the N.L. Championship here, lol.
Really hoped the M's would do it. Is amazing to see the fans come out again there. Been a long time for them.
For today, thinking the Yankees will beat the surprising Indians, I mean the .08 of the Native American Guardians that defended this country from what exactly? Whole different subject, as with the Commandars of the NFL, can't believe they won that game but thinking those damn whit Yankees, Yankees, the outrage, is immense, will win this game at home.
That is great though, no Dodgers. S.D. and and the Phillies. If Cleveland doesn't pull off the upset, and that would be wonderful if they did, odds aren't good, haven't even looked at it because C'MON CHIEF WAHOO and your small market team, beat the Yankees at their shrine of baseball.
