Hello all. Ive been pondering on how to make salvinorin active by consumption. I know its active sublingualy, and probably active if salvinorin A would be administered via I.M./I.V. route. If we take the DMT model, and apply it to salvinorin, we can assume that maybe (just maybe) salvinorin A gets broken down in the stomach by the same MAO enzymes that brake down DMT. This doesnt have to be true, but it could be. Has anyone ever tried it?
in order for a molecule to be actually available as a substrate for monoamineoxidase enzyme, must first of all be an amine... amine requires nitrogen... no nitrogen in salvinorin-a ... ~ that said, "something" happens when there is some harmala in ya prior to smoking salvia divinorum... (& harmala-stuff is mildly psychoactive in low doses (50 mg) & pretty heavy-duty at higher doses (several hundred mg)) it may be just additive in nature (rather than synergetic or synergistic)... (sally seems to work much better for many folks when "primed" with another psychotropic material - anthing from ethanol or thc, up to mushrooms or lsd...) and it is possible that the neurochem cascade (in the opiod group, no less) triggered by sally may involve endogenous amines of some sort...
