I do no prep oats 250g oats to 150g water.
Straight into the jars, straight into the PC.
I was just wondering if it’s okay to have those little tiny pieces of like hay or straw or whatever it is I’m there cuz it just cokes like that in the bag
And also when I shake right after the pressure comes down after pressure cooking I notice like some of the grains and stuff stick to the upper top of the jar like around the lid and stuff, is that alright? They look perfect as far as moisture content goes, doesn’t look to wet or clumpy or any of that but whenever I google pictures of Grain jars they always look perfect with nothing stuck to the sides or the top or around the lid or anything so how tf do they do that???

Pics say more than you can. But pieces of straw and chaff won’t hurt a thing, cubes are almost grass lovers at any rate.

All of the non-oat bits never give me any trouble. If I find them before a PC cycle, I may remove them but it’s no big deal either way.
After sterilizing oats, I’ll shake the jars a few times during the following day(s) so that any excess water is absorbed. The oats won’t stick to the jar’s interior once they’re dry enough on the outside.

Do you rinse your oats before loading into jars? If not, all of the dust, dirt, and other shit that’s on them can cause stickiness.

No I don’t rinse them but the next time I am, I’ll rinse them, then dry them right after, then add my grain and water to the jars and PC

Good plan. A little improvement every time.
