Know what i'd love, but its not practical i think..
A gold and silver Shroomery round in the Swag Haus.
silver is more affordable.. picture a beautifully designed well struck Shroomery silver ounce. I think people would love that evenb if not investment driven, just a precious Shroomery trinket.

Silver is doable I see lots of places with thier own silver rounds, I dont know the logistics though, I wonder if you have to buy a whole monster box

Not sure where they came up with $50, that would be great... but according to Sunshine Mint:Quote:
Die costs range from $400 to $1350 per side and is dependant on design details. Sculpting of the plaster model begins when you approve the layout artwork and a minimum of 50% of the total die cost is received. Usually the timeline for completion of your medallions is 4 to 6 weeks.

Hmmm
Plaster is easy enough to model. I wonder if I could get a home kiln to 1,763f

I think there is a relatively untapped market...if you could do it a little cheaper.
Greatful dead rounds, string cheese rounds, shroomery rounds, mushroom rounds, sts9 rounds etc.
You just have to run a small business and make sure people understand and know they are one of a kind rounds. Someone might pay $50 for a grateful dead round pretty easily in some situations I imagine....but whatever you are doing you would kinda want them to be limited.

After doing some research, it is rather feasible to melt your own silver and cast them. Thatās as far as I took it, as (even as adventurous as I can be at times) there is no way I feel like playing with melted silver

The key here is Quality. Thats what will make or break an enterprise like this. Quality, in combination with rarity and you might have yourself a business.
You can get cheap dies here and there but if you wanna make it you gotta be willing to throw in the dough.

Oh and one more thing, ive mentioned this before but there is a great collectables community on bitcointalk.org. A lot of professional artists there that make exclusive gold/silver/other metals bars and coins. People are willing to pay a big premium for quality stuff. There are threads about DIY coin making, i think even literature that you can buy.
We could make contacts with some people there and get more info on how they operate. I could help with that since im a longtime member of their community.

I traded for two ounces of silver on the Shroomery years ago for fuming glass. I still have 1.5 coins left
I need to acquire some gold that I can fume with, I have a bit more than an ounce of gold jewlery though, which has certainly gone up by the gram accordingly. 14k gold in good condition jewlery was 35-40/g a while ago, and 18k I have seen going for almost 60/g! I haven't been checking recently, but it seems that jewlery carries a nice premium over bullion. (Real price for jewlery, not spot price of gold divided by karat)
Biggest metal mistake I ever made, there was a 700 dollar herringbone necklace BUY IT NOW. It had a melt value of 950ish. A pawn shop would have paid 700. I stupidly tried to win it at the last second for less than the buy it now, and someone ended up sniping it from me for OVER The buy it now price I passed on
That was a 1500 dollar necklace if I found the right buyer

That is an awesome idea. I think they would make awesome collector piece! Simple mushroom engraving nothing fancy. Someone seems to have done it here https://www.etsy.com/listing/1085568968/1-oz-mushroom-garden-gnome-silver-art

Very cool coin! But that price would prevent anyone from wanting to buy more than one as a novelty...

Yeah that price is insane. If someone here actually made Shroomery ones it would be worth it tho.

Dang silver is at like $19?
Man I hope it keeps dropping, Iād scoop up with a bit of it and gold with any significant pullback.
